We never used to.  We do now.  It makes a big difference and doesnt take that much time.

Only once so far. We did a house/roof wash combo earlier this year for a repeat customer who flips homes and used a soft brush to clean up the window glass. He was happy with the results and cancelled the window cleaner who he had scheduled to come in. I believe roof snot in the mix helps tremendously.

Do you mean clean the windows after the wash or brushing debris off them before?

I had the guys wash my own house. Half the window were soaped then rinsed. The other half soaped, soft brushed, then rinsed. Then I wfp'd all the windows. The ones that weren't brushed with the wash looked like chit.

I'm a brush and agitate guy when it comes to glass and the screens that cover them. Then rinse with RO water.

After we softwash a house we simply water fed pole the windows. A good scrub and rinse with RO/DI water and the shine.

RO/DI systems have been the greatest find for us in the last two years. What a killer technology!

I agree. It's a simple and valuable up charge. And you get to have a sweet WFP which are valuable for other applications in our line of work. Generally I would not bid against window cleaners but The equipment gives you a real advantage. We did the largest FAA facility on the west coast A couple weeks ago and just submitted a proposal to Canon USA, all windows. Its also a nice break not having to worry about chems.

Ive always done it like this until I did my own house.  Ro/di didnt help except for the windows I agitated.  My windows weren't even that dirty but there were spots.  The windows that were agitated during the wash were perfect.

Do you know why there were spots? Could be many things. Possibly minor hard water that the chems with agitation took care of. Could be an location thing as well. Environmental conditions vary greatly which is why we all have to adjust our methods slightly.

We always have 2 guys on the job no matter what. It doesn't even take the much time or effort to just do it. I would like to see that if I were on the buyers end.
