I have my first one scheduled for this week. Insurance agent just sent them a letter because of a "spot" on the roof. I asked her to make me a copy.

You know the strange thing is I've spent a ton of time marketing to and speaking with agents but they never do the actual inspection or contact me. The inspections are performed by someone(the ghost) from the motherland. The homeowners are the ones who call after doing a google search and find us number one in this market.

There are at least two insurance companies having homes of a certain age (or older) inspected. (I think it's 25 years old or older). Sadly the agents around here have been known to tell the HO to just have it power washed off. SMH. There will be a learning curve I guess.

Not that bad, but its bad and has pine needles all over it. The Homeowner says he used to rake the moss off the roof.

We actually cleaned this roof earlier this year even though I advised them to just replace the roof. The entire roof was carpeted. To add insult to injury there was no running water on site or in the cabin(pictures attached). The cabin was two miles back in the woods on a creek. They use it only for one night stays to hunt or fish.

Take photos at Ins. jobs , esp. with elderly H/O Usually H/O leave a disposable camera for you..take a before,during and after photo for ins. co Elderly folks usually forget that part and after your done your up a creek....Get all the ins. "agents" info so you can handle e mailing them for the elderly. I have had the elderly crying on the phone like 2 days later because they don't have photos.

We did a job this year due to insurance. The home owner was frantic because the insurance adjuster mandated that she have her roof cleaned within two weeks or they were going to cancel her policy. The adjuster called me after the job because he was so impressed with our results. I might have an opportunity to make a presentation at their next district meeting.

Excellent Dave. That could turn into something really good for you. If it pans out maybe you could tell us the district managers and companies name. We could then use that information to call on the local agents of the same company in our area. Tell them it's already a tried and true approach to bringing their customers into compliance with the policy. Any questions call the district manager in your area.

Heavy moss, pine needles and no gutters. Great combination.

We see roofs like that all the time up here. And of course the homeowner wants instant results but doesn't want to pay for it. Their loss.

a wish insurance companys here where the same about washing roofs ,the dont bother there arzz about it a have been told ,surely it must cost them premiums to fix the damage caused .
