I wired the solenoid to the pump Today. I Couldn't get the pump to work without a pop. It just wasn't right! So I put the wiring in line and it works as it should. What do you guys think? Is this OK?

That doesn't look right Art. Seeing as there are only 3 terminals on it, it should be internally grounded. Your ground strap is attached to one of the power terminals, so you must be running the power through the pressure switch directly to the motor. You should bring the power in on one side, pick up a power lead to route through the pressure switch, then back to the small terminal on the solenoid, with the motor attached to the other large terminal.

Russ it makes a Loud Click when I wire it any other way. This is the only way I can get it to work. Plus I don't have a good ground because everything is plastic. It seems to be working fine, but I haven't field tested it yet.

Hmm...interesting. Breaking the ground instead of the hot.

I just switched the wires around again. One way I get the pop and the other way the fan works but the pump isn't going on.

The solenoid should make an audible click when it engages.

That is correct. Three terminals it should be for a constant or continuous solenoid. Been using them for years now and they work great.
I use a snowplow solenoid you can get at O'Rileys auto parts. ask for S.A.M. No. 1306070

I am doing a video on how to wire one in my garage soon for our cedar network
