I see this two ways.

#1. If he is just a hack type; I would not warn him at all. I would go straight to the hosting company and ask for the site to come down. I think you have enough evidence to get it done. They would probably call him and ask him to voluntarily remove it though.

If you have a lawyer you work with then do the letter after, and in conjunction with, the phone call to the hosting company.

This shows him you ain't play'en.


#2. If he is a guy that really is trying then maybe a phone call (I think this one isn't the one based on what you've posted in the past).
A "friendly" phone call could help shape a relationship. The problem there is that he is in the same area and competing for the same jobs. I like to help people but don't like to take food from my kids.



Now the bigger problem. His name is Ray and his logo is a large water droplet and his website has your image.........

This little turd-nugget even has FLIERS made up using my photos.

Copyright law is interesting. You certainly own the pictures but without a registered copyright, any atty who doesn't want to steal your money will tell you there is little you can do. I am trying to remember to water mark all my new photos. It sucks that we have to do that. I just wish I could remember to watermark everything. Download Fastone, there is a watermark tool there.

Ray, So glad to know you have that! The question is... does he have/own anything? It might be a worthless win after paying those expensive atty's. I would feel just as you do and want to kick some serious butt.

Liars, cheats and thieves are at the top of my list.

It's a hard decision to make because it is so expensive to go after him. Too bad you can't do it w/o an atty. Spank hell! Take him out at the knees!

Dave, funny you mention that... Actually today I bought several variations of his website. Not sure whether to redirect them to my site or gay porn.

Its funny and flattering that he hasnt done any work good enough to use his own pictures. Ive seen where some of pictures have the companys name made to them I guess that would stop that if put in the right spot. I seen a post from some one that said if you steal there pics they will contact your hosting company have your site locked down until they have taken there sweet time to comb through your site and make sure that all info is down.
