What do you all think about a separate place to link all the videos that Art has been posting? We can keep adding to the library and use them as employee training/safety. Have them sit in the office, watch them then sign off for the record.
I think it's a great idea. I was actually thinking that when I saw all the ones he posted, because they shoukd be readily available if you want watch or use Them. It would be easier than having to search for them. Maybe something like "need to know" or "basic training info" , I'm just throwing out names....

A company I use to run was required to do safety training once a week at our meetings but I also emailed pertinent info links like HVLP,airless sprayer use, electrostatic, new product training and maintenance etc. It really helped with those wanting to improve job performance (and as a result higher company worth thus higher pay)
They learn better if done on their own rather than you having to constantly discipline them onsite.
I think its a good idea then email your employees the link every time there's a new video, safety post etc.

We have youtube central. We could put them in a thread there and make it a sticky or Start a training thread or a password thread. What ever you guys want!
I was just looking over You Tube central. Its a no reply area, we could do no reply or reply area. What ever you guys want. I would like some help from you guys with this. Maybe John, Brett, and Cajun Doug could work on this. I would set the area up and you guys put the video's in there with a short or long paragraph of what the video is. What your opinions?
I like that. I think it should be titled something like...recommended videos or recommended training. We don't want to promote this as a formal training forum. Maybe general training??

Great point John! I'm glad you all agree with this and want to move forward with it. I'll be glad to help out. Once it's done then Art can make a sticky that stays at the top. One of the many things we can do as companies of NWSA that we can boast about that will make us stand out to the customer who cares and understands that we aren't just showing up and spraying water.

I'd be glad to help and I think it's a great idea. I'd probably call them "Informative" instead of "Training" just because of the concerns raised earlier when I suggested making "Training" videos. Maybe "OSHA Supplied" Training Videos....Just a few thoughts.

I do think keeping the word training out is a good idea. So, how about... Recommended Safety and Information Video Library.
Ok got it set up, I moved it all the way to the top of the forum lists "Not Easy"! I think we should make the Video Ed made for us a sticky in there. Now we need to put the video's in there that I posted. Should we just slide them over or do you guys want to re post them and I can delete the ones I put up
OK I have it all set up. I was going to delete and re post some of the video's, but that would have broken some links. I made Stickys of about 10 videos that will stay at the top of the sub forum. We have more stuff around the forum, but I'm not sure where it is. If you guys see something let me know and I can move it. Theres more good stuff on You tube also. Post it if you find something. Thank again
It's good that you started posting those videos Art to give us this great project to work on and now have something that makes NSWA stand out and do something to help all contractors not only offer this to employees but make it easier to document if the day ever came to prove the "training" was available. This is something I tried to get the powers to be to do at that other forum but they couldn't make any money! I gave up and then of course... canceled my account and...well, we all know the rest!
