Wait Jeff I am retired.

Jeff, I am a soft washer....by choice because I feel soft washing is superior. I have zero desire to listen to that noisy machine either.....and I am referring to both.

Mostly I would like to know who gets further up the roof. We all talk about our wands and poles but who really gets the best distance and with what? I reach 35' - 40' or so with my 12V but that is on the ground with little angle. Climb a ladder and shooting upward on a 10/12 the reach is shorter.

Doug,..DS'ing is soft washing. But it simply comes down to what we each prefer,..Do you attempt concrete with soft washing pumps?

Well Doug,..you got it "cleanER,..you  can't clean concrete thoroughly with a roof pump,..you need PSI. You may have done it,..but not efficiently. Ask anyone who cleans concrete,..for real. They use washers and if needed for fast coberage,.. surface cleaners. No argument here,.so I will stop now.

We use a 12volt(5850) for roofs. For house washing we use our 5.5 gpm machine. For hard surface cleaning we only use our surface cleaners. We do some commercial hard surface cleaning work(Dunkin Donuts, strip malls and gas stations/convenience stores, etc) up here with both hot/cold water pressure washers with our surface cleaners and the right detergents.

For the record though I did a 96 unit time share house washing project in 2015 where I had two pw going and a roof pump.

This is how you clean concrete. Then throw a lite sh mix on top to keep it looking cleaner longer.

Doug I routinely get 40 to 50 for my Udor, but I honestly just don't like the thing very much. Even with the awesome valve system Paul made it's clunky and difficult to use. The proportioner is so much easier. Pretty sure I will retrofit my water dragon this year to include a booster pump and proportioner, and then only use the indoor as a rinse pump.

I was down streaming at agent clean University last week plus trying out an XJEt. They were routinely hitting 40 to 50 foot with their PW equipment, and able to spray a 10% mixture, but there was not a lot of knockdown power for wasp nest dirt Dobbers cobwebs etc. at that distance...you know, the stuff we routinely get on every house down here in the Deep South.

I've added downstreaming and X jetting to my arsenal, but still love my booster pump more than all other devices.

Some put a 90 on top of swivel to help with lifting.

 Glad you told me. The last I heard your guys loved the udor. I adore my booster pump as well and it will always be a part of my systems.

My ProPortioners work awesome with my booster but having an issue with my 12V which I hope to see resolved by this weekend. Plus adding the tips to the end of the booster (Tim's idea) has been a great help. I get an extra few feet with my zero tips and use an extension pole for the wasp nests.

I won't be adding the pressure washer into my house wash. My RBP pump gets me where I need to be for that......just rethinking distance shots for the roof and if I can get this whole ProPortioner system going.....watch out!

Correct. I got nothing extra from using the shooter tip.......nothing.

I really got nothing out of the tip that I wasn't already getting from a standard zero tip. I mean the stream may have been slightly better but not by much.

To be fair I only tried one which was the .30. I chose that tip based on the website info on the GPM flow of my pump.
