G'day thrill seekers.

Been a little while since I've dropped by. Hope your all doing well.

Thought I might share a few pics of  a rig we built for a client in Sydney Australia. 4000PSI at 8 GPM pressure wash, Pure Water (Ionnic Glass system) and ProPortioner Softwash. Heaps of storage and weighed less than 1 Ton when dry. Including the rotary cleaners and torches etc. The front cabinet is home to an additional 50 meters of HP hose giving them access to large property where access may be difficult.

We designed the system to carry and house 20 Litre Drums for SH. Its how it is often sold here and also meets many of the Hazchem transport regs. Simply slide the drum into the 1st position under the Proportioner and rotate the drums out as they get used up. This also allowed us to keep the footprint small for inner city conditions.

This multi type wash system allows softwash and a thorough rinse system running in tandem. Its fast and simple with all the variable benefits the proportioner offers. The RO/DI system also allows for bulk spot free water to be run into the tank for a volume spot free window rinse should it be necessary. Should you wish to tackle hard surface work just crank up that 690 cc Honda and whirlaway.

The client is a painter and decorator in Sydney and has chosen a really smart unit as a simple bolt on to his business. Not only can he now pre clean his commercial painting projects in house but he has the capability to offer a paint and property maintenance service to his large list of Body Corporate clients.

Cheers. Hope you enjoy.

Nick

Nick You can design my new revision now that I have my shiny new Pro Portioner sitting here in my office as of yesterday!

That is really well thought out!

I love the pocket for the surface cleaner

Heres a shot of the original unit I built for my self. Similar spec on the Pressure wash unit and RO/DI system. Obviously no proportioner available at the time so I fashioned up a simple 200 litre spot spray with a beefed up fatboy 12V as a softwash.

This was built as a skid to nestle into a standard 7 x 5 single axle trailer.

Still going strong to.

Its the way we do it. We have some restrictions as our lead vehicles are much smaller than the larger frame pick ups you guys get around in. I would never fit a Dragon skid in the back of my Ute (Pick Up) So the compromise is trailer.

Great. Now I can steal more ideas from others. I like that overhead compartment.

Adding to Hank's already full file of truck and trailer builds!

For those of us who make things and make things work, seeing that compact trailer is like a candy store!

For you new Guys. Nick has been hanging with us for about 5 years. He didn't learn how to do that over night. He learned how to do that by reading 1000's of posts. Don't think your going to learn everything over night. It all takes time.

The ProPortioner is a great addition to this unit. The ability to get the weight down by having only one tank on board. This tank is empty when travelling more often than not.

They can be a bit fussy when changing out the drums of SH. I found that the system responded best when I opened the SH valve full to let it get an equal prime with the water stream. From there I could get better control and dial down to my proffered working mix. Hope that makes sense. I am sure it will.

There is nothing new about proportioning gate vales and there are a variety of them available. The "Proportioner" however is a very smart unit and offers a solution to many issues.

Clearly you cant have a pressure relief system hence the 12V system I have set up. The pump needs to dead stop on a pressure switch when soap is shut off unless you have a tank to return your now mixed product which really defeats the purpose.

This unit worked out about 8 Inches taller than I really wanted. It was designed to house another reel to hold the SoftWash hose which in the end i opted not to fit. I felt that having an overhead hose with SH dripping on the rig would only lead to corrosion and issues. The spin off is lifting a 30Inch SS mosmatic surface cleaner into the overhead locker is difficult.

Hope that helps

Nice use of typically "dead" space in front and behind the fenders. Also,.the white paint won't show dried soap spots the way black trailer do,..gives it a nice clean look as well.

I love it. Always keep thinking guys and never settle for average equipment and efficiency. This is a fine example of that exact mentality.
