There is no way you read everything! Believe me... there seems to be a lot to it until you get everything right for your machine(s). Each machine needs a different injector (unless the gpm's are close to the same) and the mix will be different depending on the gpm's. I'm sure you can tell you have found the right place for the correct answers. Jeff is a walking encyclopedia and one of the seasoned veterans... you are fortunate to have his help.

There is so much information and equipment when it comes to soft wash and pressure washing. In the beginning it can be a bit daunting. My plan of attic was to build my own system as so many here have done. Every supplier has their own from a hand truck portable to a dual axle trailer with all the bells and whistles.

These videos will help.

Anita, just so you understand a Down Stream injector goes on a power washer and you can't wash a roof with it. The S/H isn't strong enough. Most of us started out with a DC 5850 Delavan pump. You can buy the setup at Pressure Tek or make one yourself like most of us did. Keep things simple starting out and go from there. You are just confusing yourself with all these different set ups.

I have watched those videos.  They are very informative.  I'll be ordering that bypass hose and ball valve this week for sure

Eric,.with basic siding washing,..why the use of two hoses compared to one? Just wondering where the advantage is for you. I could understand better if you were doing alot of stucco or something that requires a higher SH ratio than DS'ing can provide,..But DS'ing is so simple,.especially with a remote unit.

Hey jeff, should I bring a 1 inch pvc out of my chemical tank, then reduce it down to the chemical injector tube?
Or just the small injector tubing all the way to the injector?

Anita,..you will not be using anything like a 1" PVC pipe. A soap injector uses 1/4" clear hose,.usually dropped into a 5 gallon bucket as your "chemical tank"

You're getting confused I think with soft washing pumps and setups,..the Pressure Washer and soap injector is a whole different application process.

I'm getting ready to head out now,..so I'll have to pick it up later. Keep reading.

Just to be clear,..you aren't only getting the "parts",..you are getting a working,.. self powered unit. All you need to do is set your unit so the "bucket hose" goes into the bucket and the "injector hose" goes onto the little barb on the soap injector,..and it will be ready to work.  And remember the blue wire inside the ammo box is the antenna,..stick it out the hole I made so the plastic box isn't insulating the signal.

I sent it with hoses,.but you may have to add longer hoses,..depending on where you locate it.

Please read and really understand the basics of downstreaming to utilize the remote. The remote's main job is to shut the soap off without having to go back to the machine to turn the soap on/off,...and this is so we can rinse with low pressure soap nozzles. Which is really important,..and the remote makes a World of difference.

Considering these remotes work very well,..the lights really aren't needed,..just make sure you press the button totally.

The biggest benefit to the lights is actually for when you accidentally bump the "on" button and you maybe you'll see the light telling you this.

Go to Walmart and get a "Flashing Beacon" they are now carrying for $20.00,..Open up the light housing and remove the cigarette cord and solder on the wires and connectors needed to hook it into those auxiliary connectors.

Another thing,..the remote transmitter I sent with unit is in a little plastic cell phone type pouch,..I added silica packets to help keep moisture level down inside. But seeing this was my spare,..I never taped it up to seal it better,..you may want to do that,..and also add a binder clip so it will easily attach to your waist line.

Just zip tie the binder clip to the plastic pouch using the existing hole that is in the top of the pouch. This is the best way to carry the transmitter and also have it very accessible.

*Taping" the pouch up also gives the cheap "welded" seems much better strength.

You're welcome! Anyone who uses downstreaming as an application method should have one of these as standard equipment. Such a huge benefit with so little cost and effort.

You'l see,..when you build your spare one,.you'll want to build another,.Ha,Ha,.. Because,.you will NEVER want to be out a remote once you get used to having it.

Solder connections and use dielectric grease. Good solid connections saves ALOT of headache down the road.

Just to keep those interested up to date,..I am liking this solenoid. I take it apart about once a week for the last month and it doesn't even look used at all.

Oh it's dialed in Art,..the solenoids are just sacrificial parts,..but yes,..I do like testing different components. To get a month out of a $12.00 solenoid is VERY well worth the minimal cost. If any DS'ers aren't using a remote ,..they are REALLY missing out.
