Getting all the components together for the 2nd right. I have a brand new 19hp Briggs and Stratton,  the only problem is it a vertical shaft, not horizontal. Do they make a 8 gpm pump for a vertical shafts? I've never seen one, but figured yall would know if thier is anyway to use this motor.

Vertical shaft engines aren't gonna work for a quality PW pump. They make washers with vertical pumps,..but they are like 2 GPM and such. A 13 HP will run an 8 GPM pump,..and you will get 8 GPM,..but your PSI will be limited to about 1200 PSI. Alot of guys do this and use them fro house washing and deck cleaning.

I'm going to need the psi pressure also. I'm not sure 1200 would be enough. Hummmm

I have my vanguard 16hp on my 5.6 gpm. Wonder how much psi that would put out with a 8gpm.

I can't answer about the 16 Hp and 8 GPM.. But,..1200 PSI from 8 GPM is ALOT different than 1200 out of a 5 GPM. It'll surprise you. Aside from running surface cleaner 1200 PSI will do alot of work in our World. On house washing, deck cleaning, and even wanding concrete will do a fair job.

Is there a way to have my 16hp run the 5.6 and the 8? Or a easy way to switch out pumps if i need my surface cleaner?
Maybe mount them both to where I can change the belt drive from one to the other. That could be possible, maybe. Lol

The 8 GPM will do what the 5.6 will do. When under powering a pump,.you get either PSI or flow. If you want to run more PSI,..you can just switch to smaller nozzles,..the overflow will go back through the unloader and into the water tank. Still not sure though what PSI you can max at 16 HP,.but it would be more than 1200,..just with less flow. Now,,,this is harder on the unloader,..but everyone should be running the Giant brand orange spring unloader anyhow,..they will take ALOT of abuse. I'm on my second year with one and going to start this year with is. Typically at least one change was need a year when I used other unloaders.

Industry secret. It's not water pressure that cleans. Water volume is how it happens.
