 Hey guys,

First I need to apologize for not responding to those answering the questions I had about SH on my last post. Thank you! I am very serious about getting into this professional industry and have been working towards this all summer doing odd jobs saving my pennies for equipment. I do feel fortunate to have the resources from this forum and experience you guys share with others. I certainly am starting from the ground up and I definitely need to work on my computer skills more. I'm setup for down streaming now and have two sources of SH suppliers as one member had mentioned. I also have 150 ft of pressure hose ,one extra lance gun, adjustable nozzle and j tip. I'm small time here but have got some saving to spend a little on more equipment. My next goal is to be setup for roof cleaning. I've been looking for a clear 55gal mixing tanks with a pump suited for the job but have yet to find what I may need. Also ordered business cards, I'm covered with insurance and came up with company name Saccarappa Exterior Cleaning while keeping Helms Handywork to remain busy through the winter here in Maine. Thank for your help

My advice is to start simple in regards to equipment. Even if you buy the most expensive slickest stuff, it wears out quick. The exception is your pressure washer. Get a good one, at least 5gpm. Also, get a proportioner, three tanks, and learn to plumb it all yourself. Also, I own another business and while it's hard to keep both going, it's nice to have both going.

I appreciate the advice, my pressure washer is a 4gpm. I'm not sure what a proportioner but I'll search for some info on them.
Thanks Bryan for responding

A reminder to all. Tayib is my lead techs brother who came down in April for a week to get his feet wet. I'm trying to get him going with a small and easy to operate set up. Since he is doing both remodeling/maintenance he cannot commit his truck to one so I suggested at least a 5x8 trailer. We all know trying to move equipment around is a nightmare, especially when just starting. Tayib was going to try the 15 gal portable unit from Tractor Supply but I told him to return it since something like the was only good for touch up. It's late in the season, especially for Maine so I don't know if this is something he can build now and get it going before winter hits early up there.
