Game Changing(major league)

I really thought my son Zack and I were efficient and fairly fast with out other truck. We we're still batch mixing and very fast and could crank out the work day to day. I had wanted to build a new truck and get away from batch mixing. Well we got swamped last year and our van was starting to rust and look a little unprofessional so I decided to pull the trigger on a new truck and go forward with a new build. Once again we we're so busy I didn't even have time to put a list together of pumps and parts and hose reels ect ect. So I decided to move forward with the PWS skid. It was a large investment and it hurt to write that check but after using it for the end of the year (Approx) 4 months. I can't even describe how much it changed the daily production. I use to say that I will never be lazy and get electric hose reels because I don't mind the work out on my arms and shoulders but now that I see how much time they save during the day it is awesome. Not to mention it leaves more energy to do more jobs during the day. Now most of you guys here know me and know I'm not a bragger but if you want to double your production during the day then upgrade or change your equipment. I told my son that I would put 6 big jobs on for the day ( which I could never do). He said that we would never finish it in a day. I actually didn't care if we finished or not but I wanted to see what we could actually do I one day. Well we finished those 6 big jobs in a day and only took us a few hours more that it took us to do 3jobs in our old van. I wanted to share this to you guys and say that I got stagnant and didn't think that a newer set up could be a game changer and I can tell you it is a major league game changer.

We made changes last year that made scheduling difficult because I was use to the old way. Now we can comfortably add more work and know there is plenty of time in the day. Some smaller changes this year will make things so much easier and I think we are finally at a place that doesn't need more changing.

Yesterday I think we finally got the booster pressure switch dialed in. It took some adjusting and now we can let off the gun and the pump stops. With the isolators there is no mix getting to the gauge and pressure switch!

Yeah the proportioner (if thats one of the things you are talking about) is a huge upgrade, batch mixing is insanity. I can't imagine ever going back. Electric hose reels is not something I have gone too, I do see the convenience though.

Zack the Proportioner is just one thing I'm talking about

Get the electric reels. It will save energy for more jobs

I also got the remote for the booster pump

The remote for the hot water heater

Russ Johnson's remote for the down streamer

Separate Soap tanks and change with a valve

No hooking up electric for the booster we use the Honda

All of these devices have us up and working in minutes.

The new Aussie valves also save time with the water hookup.

Remotes are almost necessary because climbing up on the back of the truck is a big waste of time . Also going back n forth the the truck is a big waste of time. I wanted to change a few more things but I will wait to see how these pro switches and electric ball valves perform over time. But I'm sure those things will also save time

Anytime we can change our equipment and it helps us do our jobs better and more efficient it is a good thing.
