Hi, I hope Im in the right spot for this. Im going to be painting my mothers house when the weather gets better here in Pa, my problem is she doesnt have enough pressure in her house to run my pressure washer. The siding is at least from the 50s or 60s when my grandfather built it, as you can imagine, its very oxidized, lots of white powder, plus a lot of the paint has flaked, and is still flaking off.
What would be the best way to get this cleaned up, is there a solution I can use with a garden sprayer thatll help loosen up some of the paint as well as clean? The siding is in great shape with no dents etc either. Im not in the best shape to be scrubbing down the whole house by hand if it can be avoided. I plan on using emulsabond in the first coat of spray as well.
My plan as of right now is basically using bleach and TSP sprayed on with sprayer and a quick scrub with a siding brush, then a rinse, unless theres a better way. Off hand I cant remember if theres any mold, for some reason though I think there was a little but not much. Thanks for any ideas on this.
