That may sound like a strange facility to clean, but this helicopter landing pad at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital was in fact in need of a cleaning! Located at 100 feet in the air on top of a multistory complex, this was not an average cleaning job! As this is an active landing zone at the regions largest trauma center, very special planning had to go into place for this cleaning. Chemicals, equipment, evacuation strategies, safety plans, not to mention the pure logistical nightmare  of this project all had to be throughly vetted and approved. 

 The cleaning was a complete success, and our customer was absolutely thrilled with the results. They were expecting the need to repaint the markings after we were done cleaning, but obviously  realized that was not needed.  This helicopter landing zone is now not slippery, and much more navigable for the pilots and crews working in trauma situations.

This residential home was possibly in the worst condition I have even seen. It was under construction years back then laid vacant in the country for several years, and now the owner is resuming work on the home.  This white brick home was the victim of copious amounts of mud-wasp nests (dirt daubers), vines, and algae. Our softwash process turned out to be the perfect solution to rid the exterior of the contaminants. The lower orange stains turned out to basically be "rust"...this area is well known for our red-clay hills, and the iron oxide in the red clay creates a rust stain. The process for removing these stains is much different from our typical softwash process, but you can see the results were still fantastic!

Our local Friendly's restaurant called us recently to perform a general pressure washing clean up of all their concrete areas surrounding their Tannersville PA location. Their management wanted a clean and inviting exterior, which included all concrete areas. On Tuesday, 8/2/16 the staff of Pocono Non-Pressure Roof & Exterior Cleaning were dispatched to the location with our professional commercial grade hot water pressure washing equipment to service the sidewalks, sitting areas, emergency exit pads, trash dumpster pads and kitchen entrance. All gum, food grease and dirt were removed from these areas.

Today our commercial pressure washing services were needed in Kunkletown, PA at the Camp Harlam facility. The indoor basketball center was in need of some attention to give it a renewed look. The administration of the camp reached out to us as they wanted to get the work done before the summer opening. Roof Cleaning and House Washing using No Pressure!

"Soft Washing" is actually nothing new it's just gaining in popularity. The traditional method of cleaning, pressure washing, has caused so much damage over the years that people have been searching for an alternative.

I like to use the term "In the hands of a skillful operator" when talking about pressure washing because most surfaces can be safely cleaned with a pressure washer if cleaned by someone who is skilled in the art. In fact there are times when I feel pressure washing is a better alternative and I'm always open and honest with my clients when discussing the options.

Brick, especially older brick, can easily be damaged by pressure washing. 
The alternative to pressure washing brick is soft washing and both offer advantages and disadvantages. 

As with any process the main factor is in the hands of the operator.

Some of the advantage of soft washing are:

• Soft washing penetrates the porous surfaces to kill the mildew, algae and other offenders deep inside. Pressure washing only removes them from the surface.
• Soft washing tends to last longer than pressure washing because the mildew, algae and other offenders, and their roots, are killed.
• Soft washing will not deface or leave permanent damage on the brick.
• Soft washing will not remove the delicate mortar, between the brick joints, yet will still kill the mildew, algae and other offenders. Pressure washing will quickly remove weakened mortar!

Some of the advantages of pressure washing are:

• There is less of a chance of harming surrounding vegetation. Soft washing uses chemicals to kill the algae and mildew. Care is needed by the operator to ensure the safety of all vegetation.
• Pressure washing will remove all visible signs. Although pressure washing wont kill the offender it can remove the visible signs.
