Most guys here would think this was easy, not for me. Didn't look good until I rinse it. I couldn't tell the home owner that the dead brown moss would fall off in 3 months then it would look good. This house was going up for sale in two weeks
Got asked to bid a 7 story hotel. Soft wash Hardie siding. Confident I could do it. But never done one and not sure where to start. Do you price the floors separately? Or just use the lin.ft around the building? Add for each balcony, etc.? Will I need to rent a lift? (That's a joke, btw) 😄
I have several options to use for a rig (single axle trailer, double axle trailer, pickup, van), but right now im leaning towards the van, and have a few questions about it. What should be done to the floor? Coated with a bedliner material? Plywood or rubber mat on top of that, or would the liner be suff...
Over a year ago I saw a company with a flatbed cleaning the center overhang in the dark while it was snowing. As the year went on I would mention to the manager that we could make the awnings look real good and I'd be happy to do one for free so they could see. A week ago I notice some work being done as I drove by....
Went to give an estimate today and heres the story. The house is six years old, above the front door is a nice balcony. When it fills with water it is design to run through a drainage system in the column, but it seems to seep or leak through dripping down below on to bluestone, The builder got rid of it every...
Not sure how many of you guys have had water bans affect you . I lost a few jobs at the end of last year because of the drought here in Southern NH and Northern Mass. I'm on a private well and I did have a few customers cancel because of the low water in customer water wells. I just found out that there are wateri...

Softwashing the sand set pavers in front of the Wescott Building in front of the Main Gates at FSU this morning. Graduation is next week, so they are trying to get it cleaned up. These photos are from 7:30 AM, and there is already a line of people waiting to get photos made in front of the fountain and at thi...
When it comes to vendors I deal with everyone. Paul, Russ, Bob and Tom all supply me with equipment, parts, etc. I like their posts and videos on facebook. Last night I found out one of the vendors entered me in a contest and to my surprise I won. My luck is changing for the better. "https://www.facebook...
Hello folks, I'm just taking a moment to express my appreciation and gratitude to Blue Ridge Exterior Cleaning and Brett Thompson. Last week I came down to Virginia from Maine to job shadow the soft washing business for a week. My brother Greg works running a crew for Brett. During my time down there, B...
Been considering it for a while but the time has come where I have to get a powerwasher and surface cleaner. Been asked to clean 10k sq ft of composite decking, plus a few thousand sq ft of pavers. Looking for suggestions on 5gpm machine and SC that will not break the bank. Need to purchase immediatel...
Thanks to Doug Gore for the referral. Apparently his steeple cleaning SEO works real well. We got the steeple cleaning in Alexandria along with all the brick and cast concrete. When all that is finished we are cleaning the roof as well. All from basket on the hook of a crane.
Ok,..I've used this force feeding idea for several jobs now,.and I must say it really solves the issue. I added a 3-way valve on the inlet side of the 12V pump,..one side for SH and the other side is tied into my water supply tank and when I'm ready to rinse the injector system out,...I simply turn the val...
Purple power on sale $9.99 at Tractor Supply for 2 1/2 gallons! Not much savings if you buy in the 5 gallon buckets. I like the container that Purple power comes in heavy duty, ill be using after the PP is gone for my powder cleaners. The container to me is worth 5 bucks. Mike

Hey guys, I was just curious of what process you use to maintain your gloves. I use a pvc glove and when I first started I couldn't keep them from smelling like my high school hockey gloves. Even after washing your hands the smell would linger. I started spraying lysol after every use and I built a dry...
Hey, first job coming up where it's just me (and a helper), doing work for someone who isn't a friend. Only doing the house, and it has vinyl siding, so hopefully it will go smooth. I haven't yet bought the equipment i really want... eventually i will downstream or use 12V, or both, (leaning towards onl...
I wanted to take a minute to publicly say thank you to Mr. Brett. As most of you know, we have been really struggling sence the flood last year. This year we have the opportunity to start another adventure with hog houses. Brett knew we needed another machine to make it all come together, and he just so ha...
