I have a chlorine pumper from Paul at powerwashstore.com. It is actually a shure flo pump. I love it. We are finding we actually use about 30% less mix than we did with the 12V systems.

Doug, I did not see it available on the website. Also, did you buy a water dragon skid not too long ago? If so how does the chlorine pumper fit in with the othe equipment, use wise?

Here is a link to one of them......http://shop.powerwashstore.com/Water-Dragon-Low-Pressure-High-Volume-Applicator-5407-5407.htm

If you got to Pauls site, click on Pressure Washer Parts at top, then on the right towards the bottom click on Roof Cleaning Products and towards the bottom you will see them.

ANd Yes I have the water dragon skid but it has the Dual Pump 12V system....getting ready to order another but with Hot Water, and also instead of the Dual Pump system I will have Paul put another of the Chlorine Pumpers on. I am trying to fade away from 12v systems as we just use them way to much....

Here is a pic of the current water dragon skid in my truck. Obviously these pics are from the first day I got it....its very clean

Good morning Art
We love our udor pump from powerwashstore.

We use it primarily for rinsing, but the other day I had a large roof top and my fatboy died. I was trying to push chemical to the roof top with a little 4 gpm flojet and it was not happy and kept shutting down due to internal heat.

So, I fired up the udor gas powered and fell in love with using it for chemical application. You better have a pretty good area to do though until you learn how to use it, because that is a lot of chemical in a short amount of time. However, with the reach you can park in one spot on the rooftop and shoot in all directions thus limiting runoff.

We will surely be using it more next season.

I ran roller pumps years ago,..Back then I was still doing the experimenting with different soaps,...the one thing I remember is how the
by-pass really churned up soap to the point of it pushing out the breather cap, and even getting into the suction hose and the pump would make weird growling sounds, Ha,Ha,..?

For the guys who use these for roof cleaning or anything that involves much soap,..do you experience this also?

Jeff

Jeff we have never had the problem so far. I have not been using "soaps" in the tank as of yet. We just used the new Stick up from Powerwashstore and SH. We use about 16-24 oz per 50 gal of solution.

We tried a roof with just straight SH and while it did kill the bacteria etc, it left the roof looking really dirty.

When we used Roof Snot and or Stick Up from Powerwashstore they just look cleaner by the time we get done. When I climb back up on the roof, the shingles surface just is cleaner.

No never have that problem. The bypass tube is at the bottom of the tank so no air gap. Never have had it even get past the level of the mix

Hey Steve, yea,..detergent is more important for the cleaning aspect than many realize. Although I don't like soapy soap,..I still use a non-soapy detergent.

Doug,.I never thought of putting the by-pass at the bottom of the tank,.I can see that solving the problem of severe foaming I experienced running it through the top.

Also, anyone running roof mix through these pumps,..if so,..how much time on them and are you experiencing any noticeable performance issues compared to when they were new?

Thanks,
Jeff

I was told a rebuild every year for 250 for the kit. This thing can move some material.

Thanks Eric, although I like a pump that sprays with lots of pressure and volume,...it's overkill and not needed for roof cleaning ,...as many of us have proven over the years,...and considering the initial cost of one of these pumps,..and then $250.00 a year for rebuild,...doesn't seem practical.

It may pump well, but,..a simple All-Flo or the Versa-Matic I've been using works fine for roofs,..especially residential. And they seem to have the best lasting ability of anything else.

* I use DS'ing for most other soap applications,..really bad concrete gets the roof mix.

Jeff

Yes it has it's good and bad but I like the size of the machine. 250 isn't to bad for a yr of using them and they have a Honda motor on them. I have been though 3 air compresser in 5 yrs so we will see. Lol.

Hey Eric, you need to buy better compressors,Ha,Ha,... I've had my original compressor 8 years or more I'd say. What goes so bad that you had to replace them?

I have found there are plus and minuses no matter what type pump you use. Just gotta find the one that makes ya happy. I have all of em, 12v, air flo, gas operated, so it's hard for me to not be happy.
