AC, I have read a few posts from guys that use one of your products for concrete cleaning (sidewalks/driveways) without pressure washing. What product is it and will it clean without having to use a surface cleaner? I know it won't remove gum and oil but I'm just talking about the normal black algae. I have tried to used a roof mix on a driveway before but had to go over it with a surface cleaner because it didn't come out that great and it seems as though the guys that use your product are having great results.

Yes I did, 12 volted the heck out of those sidewalks, and three miles of curb! The secret to doing concrete is a hot mix and greenwash. By hot, I mean around 40%. If its real thick, though like we have on a lot of driveways in Tallahassee, you'll have to either rinse with a Booster pump, or go ahead and surface clean. If you "hot-wash" before the surface cleaning, it will clean up in about half the time as usual.

Part of the secret too is selling the price/results to your customers. Frankly it will be cleaner if I chemical/SC combo the driveway. But It will be a lot cheaper ( and look just as good after a heavy rain) if I only chemical it!

Man I have tried it, and for the time it takes I just soon surface clean it and be done. We had a driveway that was medium dirty and used a roof mix on it. After 3 coats and 30 minutes later we finally just surface cleaned it.

Hot Mix! Heck they would be calling about grass. It would go like this. You have killed my sod. I hope you are preparded to fix this. Will your insurance pay for this?
I would have to respond,no. I have Joe Walters and they had me listed as a janitorial,carpet cleaning service.Hahaha.

You've got to thoroughly prep your grass correctly. Water the heck out of the edges of the concrete before you start. Then apply a light mist of your hot mix. Let it soak in, then reapply. The goal is to have no run off. As a final step soap grass around the edges a final time with water, then apply plant wash.

Seems to work about half the time, where we don't have to surface cleaning driveways. Works very well on recurring customers, who's driveways I have previously pressure washed. Usually doesn't get all that dirty in a 12 month period, where a hot wash won't take care of any problems.

I have killed some sod, I have replaced sod.... cost of doing business. However probably not more than $300 worth in four years of business.
