Here's a fairly unique job We are doing today. Our local Honda dealership needed the interior of their service garage cleaned. Soft washing with light bleach and degreaser. MaskEd all sensitive equipment, and pulled breakers in whole shop. Will leave shop doors open tomorrow and dry out all electrical components with the blowers.

Crew of four, two lifts going. beats the heck out of working outside in the cold And wind.

We've actually done a few metal interiors like this. The key is masking the electric, and pulling the breakers. Also give it plenty of dry out time before powering back up. Soft washing works great to remove the web and the buildup of goo on the rafters.. Also a lot of these buildings have a vinyl faced insulation which a pressure washer will tear to shreds.

I put plenty of disclaimers in my estimate that I am not responsible for electric equipment. I also carry $2 million in liability insurance, just in case!!!!!

I'll share with everybody here, Hank. Just barely south of 5k. 20 work hours. 80 man hours, $600 worth of lifts, $400 in chems, 200 in brushes, plastic, tape, etc. I wanted to be around $240 per hour for this job.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to share this out in the open. You have always been forthcoming with this info. I just wanted measure the building and get an idea of the size and then apply our pricing(my market) to it and see where I stood. I keep a file of all the info(pricing) you have shared over the last couple of years.

I'm honestly a tad bit higher than usual on this job. I could probably knock a grand off the price and still be happy with the margins. But I knew it would be a pain, lot of liability, masking, etc. did I mention the shop is open today!!!! Makes up for some of the not so profitable jobs!
