It's flooded out there. 13 inches of rain in 4 hours. The most rain in 20 years in that amount of time.

We had rain yesterday and more for today but nothing compared to what you guys are getting. The last several weeks(4) there has been no rain even though it was predicted. There is plenty of dead moss and lichen waiting to be washed away up here.

It's been really dry up here in Illinois. We did finally get a small amount of rain just enough to wet the ground.

I'm going to be getting a lot of gutter cleaning calls. Hope I can talk some of them into house washers and roof cleaning jobs

Secretly I like when it's a wash out. An uncontrollable force compels you to stop. There's not much explaining about it. Take a breath and regroup. Happens 2 maybe3 days per season where we actually cancelled the whole day.

Art, I lived up in them parts till my teens and a few here my not understand when I say, "is your sump pump running on over drive"? To people without basements, a sump pump is not a marital aid.

Seriously though, that is a LOT of rain in a short period of time and hope you guys didn't get any flooding.
