Look At Your Own Risk!!!

Please look at these pics at your own risk as they are pretty gruesome.

This was a simple man, trying to make a simple living and was trying to do what he can to put food on his family's table! No human should EVER endure the conditions this man had put himself through!!!!

This took place in North Florida (Tallahassee area) and I suggest anyone that would event remotely think of trying to start a Soft Wash or pressure cleaning biz around them parts, think twice!!!!

No one has ever seen or heard from this shingle Soft Wash warrior since these photos have been taken but if by chance, you do run into him, please bring this warrior into an air conditioned establishment and force feed him Golden Elixer (also known as beer).

As a side note: this also holds true if you see him at any conventions in any town, city or state!

OK, being real. It was 100 degrees IN THE SHADE ( picture under the pine tree) and 125 degrees on the roof. And I did three roofs and one house wash. FRIED!!!!!

But the week before that was even worse! Heat index was 112. So I just wanted  to throw a few numbers out there to verify my brain damage

Oh suck it up, butter cup...you wanna know what I've done in the past two weeks in the same heat????

It really has been brutal here this year. Although, I love it....its plant killing weather for the dozens of new guys popping up around here. If you don;t know what you're doing, its really easy to fry something right now!

I'm with Jeff on this one. We did some commercial work this morning and now I'm taking a nap.

You guys in Florida are better men than me. Today it was 85+ and I was drenched and finished by 10am. i couldn't imagine doing three roofs and a house wash when it's 100+.

Like I don't hear it enough from the wife, I got hear it here also? Jeesh!   no

Seriously though Kendall, I need to ditch the 3M mask I have around my neck (to take the pictures) and go with a full face, canister filter. I think I'm the only person here not using one. Or am I?

Art, I think this could be a great poll to start...

LOL!

Ed, you guys are just about primed for some great weather. 1st of September and the cool fronts are going to start flowing in!

I hear that Ray. 98 degrees on average the past two weeks, no rain, no clouds and it's a recipe for the perfect storm when it comes to destroying vegetation if your not careful. I have actually been spending more time watering the vegetation than praying the sauce. That's the norm though, but just have been watering a heck of a lot more than usual be cause of the lack of rain and high temps.

I rarely get on a roof,..most of the roofs I do are good "flow" roofs. But when I am on a roof, I'm pretty good at not getting the vapors into my lungs,..must be from instinctively holding my breath.

* Years ago though, I had the irritated lung thing a couple times,..not much fun. Doesn't happen anymore.

I have a good respirator, and I use it about once a year for sanitizing the local fairgrounds' pig barns. They get sprayed with a 6% solution of bleach and water. Inside there's no way for me to do it without the respirator.

Ive never tried the 3m ones, I hear they work though... I have always used the canister ones just because I can get them locally...
