I know they are a good shoe for walking roofs. My ? is how are they when your comming down from the peek, when the roof is wet?

I just got done the millstone misson (12 in 2 days) my knees are killing me.. I know a lot of you shoot from a ladder, But there is no way i can do volume that way.

I think im gonna buy them i just dont wanna find myself sliping on the way down...

Thanks

Dan.

Dan leave yourself a dry path and finish from the ladder.

They work, but you will go through replacement pads every month or so. The SH chews them up.

Dan
I just started wearing them and they stick like glue. We have walked very carefully thru freshly sprayed roof areas on fairly steep pitches, but I really do not want to make that a habit.

I just can't get excited about wrestling ladders for several setups when I can get on the roof and move right along. I am sure everyone has opinions on what to do, and I know with employees that decision to put them on roofs will cost more in WC, but for me as a owner/operator I just love the view from the top...

Cougar Paws really are a great asset, but as noted keep up with changing the pads

Funny,..I asked in another post about the felt pads and SH and someone responded by saying quite positively that the SH hasn't any real damaging affects on the pads?? Amazing how different users have totally different experiences with a product when doing basically the same work.

I just started wearing them but guys who have used them all say change them regularly. $15-20 is a very manageable cost when spread over several jobs. If it was one week only it is worth the peace of mind imho

We have always found that the SH does more damage to the sole of the shoe than the pad. The granules usually eat up the pads before the SH does any damage to them.

I have never noticed any difference in how well the stick on dry versus wet.

You gotta rinse the pad right when you come down the ladder. You have to watch the pads, each step still taken with caution, the pads can slip off. If on a steep roof not so good.
