Dave,

We keep purple power (as well as some others) on hand all the time and is our primary chemical for gutter brightening. Just keep in mind as the temperature goes up the product becomes more effective.

Butyl or monbutyl based products (Purple Power is one of them) do great on gutters. Very cost effective too.

Like Ted said butyl like products usually work but once the oxydation get too bad the powder coated aluminum usually needs to be painted with a good acrylic

Dilution of PP varies,..temperature,.what's on the gutters,..how old are the gutters,.cheap gutters vs quality gutters. In short,..gutters are evaluated case by case,..and takes time to be able to simply look at them and have an idea what you have.

Full strength sometimes,...But going 50/50 is a decent place to start in weather that is in the 70's to lower 80's and humid. When it starts to get hot,..like in the mid to upper 80's and higher,..1/3 will work in most cases.
