I recently had a customer ask about roof coatings. Since I cannot find any information supporting the use (except for the manufacturer of the coating) I always show them the documents I attached to this post. I thought others might want this in their arsenal.

There are a lot of coatings here in my area. Silicon is the best it doesn't shrink or puddle or crack. Many homes here have it because it reduces the temp in ur house up to 15 degrees cooler.

Coatings have a bad image here . was done for years PW roof tiles then they used a paint that was red or black in colour they water it done then paint or spray it on to the tiles . the fault is no SH inbetween the process but they did nt now about softwash . so lots of the coated roofs get contamination from under the coating man it looks bad . a personally wont go near a coated roof to clean . a just say its fe&@ed . aqua seal coatings is getting taken to court 10 million claim local county concil got lots of there houses done .. guy shut company .. but a have seen a clean coating that arrie parker iron man power washers is selling that looks intresting as it looks like the new coating to water proof stuff like mobiles and stuff water just needs of the surface . that could be a wee add on .
