We never use a pressure washer to clean a cedar roof.  We never walk on cedar roof shakes.  We use a simple biodegradable sanitizing detergent to remove mold, mildew, moss and algae and apply at pressures lower than the average garden spigot. This process has been proven as best practices in many homes across New Jersey including Mendham, Gladstone, Tewksbury and Benardsville.

Walking on a cedar shake roof is out of the question.  This is extremely dangerous since the shakes can dislodge under one's footing.  We use a novelty approach in applying our detergents in a safe manner.  Once detergents are applied it works quickly to kill moss and dissolve black mold and algae.  After a short dwell period our detergent are rinsed and neutralized.  The result is a like-new looking shingle.
