Lead boot, roof flashing, gutter corrosion?

I have not yet begun soft washing. still Doing my research... Curious, does the normal 30% solution cause any corrosion to lead boots, galvanized wall flashing, gutters or wave drip? If so how do you combat that? I've seen the bleach wash. Does everyone use this to rinse chlorination off these areas? Or is it even necessary? Thank you in advance

Lead boots will tarnish faster than you can spray them......:} If you even mention the word bleach they tarnish.

You will have limited issues as long as you keep them wet constantly. Spray wax helps chem interaction or slight acidity wetting to counteract .

If you are working over a small bump out hood , wax it, that will protect it (I'm sure i have other protectants, just need to look) larger areas hopefully someone else here or brethren sites may have better solutions

It's virtually impossible to stay away. Many homes have lead boots and you can't spray around them.

I learned about this this week. In case you're wondering, it looks like this...

Lead always oxidizes, although in my experience it looks better after a couple months. We have more aluminum here in new england but still have lead around chimneys etc. We always inform our customers that it's a temporary oxidization.

It may be the acid rain cleaning up the tarnish?
