Hello guys. I have owned a Power Washing business going on 13 years now cleaning mostly Kitchen Exhaust Systems with a little seasonal residential work.  I became a Full Time Fire Fighter 4 years ago, and have been fortunate enough to manage a crew to do the work without my presence with the exception of a job here or there.  I am now looking to take my time outside of the Department to expand more into the Exterior Residential and Commercial cleanings with the use of softwashing.  I began with reading a ton of information on this forum and others. I then attended a SWS boot camp and also purchased a Dual pump system from the guys at PWS last year. I did a half dozen roofs and some houses last season with success. I hope to crush it this season and get to the point that I can begin to share on these forums. I thank you guys for sharing knowledge to each other and allowing me to learn. Until future post. Brett

Welcome! Hope it's a great year for you! This seems like the perfect sideline for a firefighter. I have several firefighter friends and they all do things on the side. Plus...you're probably pretty good with the hoses! :)

Hank, the website is out of date. A free one with yellow book that I never did anything with. Im in the market of starting a new one. I received my certification from Phil Ackland himself back in 2003 at Delco Cleaning in Ft.Worth TX. I renewed it once, but have since let it lapse

Welcome, I can certainly see where you are coming from. I started a washing business in 94 while going to fire school and eventually getting a job with the Tallahassee Fire Dept. in 96. These guys are incredibly helpful and very experienced.
