Nicholas listen to these professionals. We call our company PAsoftwash and the fact we are the only roof cleaner in town makes it easy to brand softwashing. Most of the contractors around us tell their customers not to pressurewash but get it "pasoftwashed". They are the guys who used to do the pressure washing as an added service.

The biggest right thing we did was make Roof & Exterior Cleaning very large down the side of our trucks.

However, we get more calls for "do you pressure wash houses or roof or whatever. The answer is yes we do roof cleaning and exterior cleaning and then we explain our process.

Get the phone to ring first! Don't drink too much of the kool aid on softwashing. There will be plenty of time to discuss your processes when the phone rings. Just get found in the searches. If pressure washing or powerwashing or housewashing is the key expressions use them

As far as the name, jump all over Manatee. You will not believer the power of that image and you being the caring guy to take care of their home and the environment.

Just look up and see Doug's logo and branding with Cajun...

If you even are thinking about using it, get the domain now.

Just a couple thoughts from a guy who not too long ago was a newbie. This year we start year 6 and it is much easier to get the phone to ring.

You are not the only one in town so Florida demands you get noticed. Manatee.... Just my two cents worth

Steve is right on target.....and thanks for the compliment Steve!

i feel like maybe softwash is not  known enough to get the hits desired.. but at the same time, i want to be proud of the softwash process, and use it to my advantage. everyone can go to lowes and buy a pressure washer and be liberty pressure washing. but liberty softwash is another level!

and you dont want to sell yourself short by listing as soft wash only. because the people that dont know, are looking for roof cleaners, exterior cleaners and so on....I'm beating myself up over this! when will it end??

I'm not selling myself short at all by branding my company as a "soft Wash" only. I know you didn't mean anything by the comment but I feel the urge to tell you that I am doing very well as a soft wash only company (sure, we pressure wash flatwork.....but nothing else).

Use the keywords like pressure wash but honestly I get calls because people just want to know "what is soft washing?" I don't even have the time to take on pressure washing jobs....me, I'm sticking with soft wash!.....:}

Sounds like Manatee is a winner. And as suggested, it would be great publicity. nice graphic, and so on....
so now,
Manatee Soft-Wash or
Manatee Roof Cleaning??

Manatee softwash: does it sound like i'm going to be bathing manatees?? am i over thinking this???

One of the names I came up with when brainstorming was "penguinwash" because the .com was available.  I moved on quick because it's just silly and sounds like I could wash a penguin.  I like the Manatee roof cleaning sounds...but I'm not one of the experts here!

YEah...get the domain now. It'll cost you $12. Especially since this is on a public forum.  Someone could grab it and try to sell it back to you.

I agree that Manatee SoftWash does not really say what you do to 90% of the public. I do like it but it does mean that you need to put forth a bit more effort to educate the public on soft washing. I believe in the long run it will pay off for you but you need to use good tag lines.

If you're going to go with Manatee Roof Cleaning then I would suggest a tag line like "We clean more than roofing!" because the name implies a single ability. Just last week I posted about missing a house wash because my client didn't know we did anything other than roof cleaning and our name does not imply roofing at all.

Anyhow....I'm not in the mood to do this but here goes a bit of crazy crappy day brainstorming and lets see what happens....

Business names:

Manatee Soft Wash
Manatee Masters
Citrus County Squeezers
Manatee Deep Clean
Citrus Soft Wash
Manatee Safe Wash
Citrus Safe Wash
Manatee Men (Fat guys who know how to clean!)....sorry....I like this one
Team Manatee
Manatee Clean

Tag Lines:

"Your exterior cleaning experts"
"Roof and Exterior Cleaning at it's finest"

Ahh....I'm tired. I quit.
