I want to vacuum water and reroute it as cheap and efficient as possible

Get a shop vac for wet pick up. A big one. Hook a drain hose to the drain, with a valve and run the hose outside. When the tank starts to fill up, open the valve to drain off the water. Once you get it set right, you can leave the valve open while you are sucking up water. As long as the level of water in the vac. is above the drain hole.
