Trailer Build (again)

Late last season and in March and April of this year we used our hot water trailer but last week I decided to redo it. We pulled all the equipment off of it and painted the chassis(turned in on it's side with my engine hoist). All boards were sanded and painted (battle ship grey for now). The boards will ultimately have a bed liner paint on them.

I put my thick skin on today and I'm asking for some advice.

What's the rule of thumb for tongue weight? We had the hot water unit mounted up front but now I'm second guessing myself. 8x12 trailer with 3000lb axle. It's a 250 gallon tank(tote) but if I fill 100 gallons that a lot.

Any preferences for mounting the the hose reels? This trailer is only for commercial work.

I'm going to try it without the meshed ramp to make life a little easier.

Fire away.

Hank

Looks good to me. I used to always keep the machine up front too.

Hank, I think the way you have it is the best way to go. What can be the heaviest component is the tank. As to the hose reels. That is a preference thing. Some like going out the back while others like cub side.

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I was having a momentary lapse of reason.
