Anyone out there have a sign that covers the back or side of their ladder rack on hinges? I am having trouble finding a way to hold it open. I stole the gas lifts off my motor home compartment doors. They are to strong. Really need something that I can lift and it will hold it in place. Don't need the help lifting it. You lift it and it holds it. you lift a couple more inches and it unlocks and you can lower it. Don't know where to look.

Go to an auto parts store and try those holders for back hatch windows. They have different lengths and weight limits.
