He stopped breathing on his own last night. They have him hooked up to the breathing machine now. Seizures are getting worse and lasting longer. Please keep praying ty

UPDATE: just got home from the hospital, Jake had a stroke which in turn caused massive seizures. Also has meningitis which is causing everything. Now his brain is swelling and they just drilled a 1/4 inch hole in his skull to release the pressure. If the swelling dosent stop then they will cut a big portion of the skull out so the the brain can swell with no pressure.
It not looking good for our baby boy. He's 20 but always our baby.

He had seizures that lasted 30 mins! That's crazy, never even heard of that before.

Ok last night they tried to take him off some of the sedation med to see if he will come around any. They lowered it a tiny bit, and he immediately started having seizures and his brain started swelling again.
Guess it's going to be a waiting game now.

Well now there talking about sending him to duke university hospital. About 3 hrs from here. That's going to financialy kill us. Crap.

Duke hospital is the best. My mom had her cancer surgery there and still goes every 6 months for checkups. Praying for Jake. Do they know what caused the stroke?

Thier thinking it's caused by the intense radiation he had 5 years ago.
He has 4 brain tumorsurgery in his head and 200+ down his spine.
Been fighting this for 10 years now.

They are slowly taking him off one of the sedation meds. He will be total off that one by 2pm tomorrow. Sure hope the seizures don't come back.

Jake took some breaths on his own a few times and responding to pain on all four limbs. But he hasn't lifted his arm to try and remove the tube with the night nurse like he did with the day nurse. His oxygen dropped a few times earlier today so they did a chest X-ray to check his lungs for pneumonia and it came back all clear. His oxygen is back up now and his icp is 0 which is fantastic. He had some small seizures today but he said they aren't even calling them that because they were so small and only lasted around 11 seconds.

UPDATE:
Jake got the breathing machine taking off this morning. And seems to be doing good sofar. He managed to say momma but his throat I ds s really sore from the tube. Time will tell. Ty for all the prayers.
