Which brand of 12v pump is your favourite. I have been using Everflo for the last couple of years but I find that the pressure switch goes or they develop some other problem and last only about 3/4 months. This considering that we don't do roof cleans every day and may not use for a week at a time. I was thinking about a gas powered one but haven't seen any that appeals. I know that some of you use air powered diaphragm pumps but I don't want to carry a compressor and generator.

I buy my Fat Boys from PT and add a plow solenoid. Bob has the original Fat Boy pump, not the Delevan. They seem to last a few good months for me.

I've been using the 6gpm FloJet VersiJet all year. Still works.

We use the Delevan 5850. The one on the truck now has been there over 12 months now. We just rinse out our system daily and it works like a charm.

I've been using the Fat Boy for years. I've tried many different pumps and go back to the Fat Boy. I get it from PW Mall.

Yes, on a few. I decided to put loctite on them when the pump arrives.

No problem with my Fat Boy Pump. I rinse after every use. I open the ball valve and let 50 gallons of water run through.

If I am understanding this correctly, some of you use the solenoids with the fatboy pumps?

Are you removing the pressure switch?

Any pictures of how you wired up the solenoid? I have some ideas but not sure if the pressure switch is left in place or remove it or cut the wires or ? ? ?

Pictures of it would be appreciated. I am planning on buying a pump in the beginning of the year but like the idea of the solenoid.

Thank you.

Can you do the soleniod with the smaller pumps, like the 5850 or other 5gpm 12 volt pumps?

Thank you.
