Check out Footbridge media. They are based out of Florida. They built my site and I have been at the top of google searches since day one. It's $150 per month with unlimited changes.

Hank

So for 150.00 they take care of keeping it in a top Google spot too?

I'll contact them

That all depends on your market and competition. You have to support their efforts with fresh content(articles), gallery photos, promo post like mine, blogs, recent projects, etc.. I went in this direction because I'm not that sharp (about as sharp as a beachball) with the back end of websites and I didn't have the time(long story).

I saw that you had a terrible experience with Home advisor yet you still have it on your facebook page.

Hank

I have been telling them this for months to no avail. I've offered to fix it and never get a reply. I don't get it!

I was just going to replace it when I got a website.

Please fix it if you can. Ty

Honestly that is a bad way of thinking. You should strive for your business to make 1500-2000 a day. I want to make 100-150 an hour as the owner plus pay my guys and all the up keep on equipment and supplies. With that said if you think you will be there for 4 days then that job should be between 3500-5000.

Please don't take offense to this but do you want to be an employee or an owner? I pay my employees 100-150 a day. As an owner you could be out selling and building your business. I too was once in your shoes but now with employees doing the work i have tripled my business since i turned over the reins. I still have my struggles with other parts of my company but i and working on them as well.

This is just my thoughts and it dosen't mean that the way you run your business is incorrect because we all have different goals.

No offense taken, i assure you.

Their is no way we could make that much an hour around here. We are not in that big of a city. Wilmington NC. Isnt the size of big cities like new York city or Dallas.

Please don't think that way. I live in Florida, which actually has more low-ballers than New Jeresy, in a relatively small town (300,000 people).

My office averages well north of $2000 per day.

Just do the work properly,.offer great customer service,..along with the expenses,..charge so you get what you feel is a reasonable profit,..and the rest will fall into place over time. Don't worry about taking work from others,..there is alot of work out there for the small guy. Being small doesn't make you less competent. Doing inferior work compared to the others is what will make you seem "little",..simply because you won't get calls.

Providing a quality service will gain you the most important thing you can have,..a customer base. And that will take time.

Waynesboro is a small town, we have small cities about 1/2 hour in all directions. When I started another guy who lives in a highly populated are told me I would never make it here. Tell me something like that and the game is on! He has struggled way more than I have for many, many different reasons. We have grown year after year to where I am seldom on the truck. This year we start out with a second truck, three full time employees that will quickly go to four. I have never quoted a job just to get the work. I can stay home and go broke. We have done very much what Jeff said, followed those who are doing it right, network both within the industry and out, go to regional and national training events. Set your sights high and only listen and pay attention to those who have a positive attitude and can think outside of the box. Here is an idea of our travels and distances.

I've traveled up to a hour away (oneway). But there is a right good size city, just out of my range. Was thinking of going there this year also.

We have been doing this for 3 years now, and each year we doubled in size. If we do the same this year, it's going very nice.

FWIW

I have had 2 websites with footbridge media in the past for my remodeling side of the company. It is absolutely worth the money. If they are the same as they were then or better it will pay for itself many times over. While it may take 2 months or so for the leads to start coming it is a must have!

As for equipment- if you have a working set up that is reliable and gets the job done properly DO NOT go and buy another rig untill the setup you have now starts costing you money or losing you money. When the time comes that your current setup can not handle the amount of work you have to do then consider stepping up to a better system. When it comes to roof cleaning I have a basic used pickup with a very simple 12 volt setup with 2 large tanks. I have a decent homeowner type pressure washer if i need that stays home.

Getting a credit card is a great piece of advice. Instead of spending my money on a fancy rig and new truck. I got the truck wrapped and invested into cedar cleaning website.

This post is overloaded with advice and experience. I have a few years in and my ears are open to everything these guys are saying, yours should be as well.

Is this post on the side? lol

I always take in all the advice I can from all you guys/gal's. This site is the only reason we are as successful as we are today. Now it's time to take the next step, and up our game a lil bit.

The rig I have now works great. I have no complaints about it. What your saying makes sense,  if it's not broke , dont fix it . Lol

But my reasons for thinking about a new one is, i getting ready to get my lump sum payment from my disability.  I'm only going to get that one time, so thats why i was going to get the new machine. But now I'm thinking maybe i should just get a flatbed truck, and put all the stuff I have on that, and add the roof cleaning equipment. Maybe get the truck wrapped, and the website going.

 We're doing exactly that...

Website first. Because anything we buy isn't worth a crap with out a job to go to

Flatbed truck with the roof cleaning equipment, and surface cleaner  (useing my same equipment I have now).

Truck wrapped, and yard signs put out.

Those are my top 3 things to focus on.

Save a few bucks and get Clear lettering that's easy to read.  Maybe a good Logo to go with it.
