Hey Art,..I remember guys talking about these years ago. Mixed reviews like anything. The part of the video that would make me skeptical is the comparison of the black tip nozzle,..which is a fan nozzle,..compared to the "ladder saver' which I'm almost certain is a 0 degree. So,..not a fair comparison,..they should have used the same orifice pattern and size with same machine for a fair comparison.

Just an observation,.and it may be a good nozzle,.but a little deceptive on the comparison.,..like they had to give the "other" nozzle a handicap to make their own look better.

They should have used a common Hose barb.

The reviews are mixed but not as good as what I would hope for when the tip costs $40.00.

Video is eight years old. Never used one. Back in the day guys would use, as Art pointed out, a hose barb. Now there are shooter tips everywhere.

Keep in mind, that when talking about distance,..much depends on PSI and flow,..it takes both to get distance,...so not everyone is going to experience the same distances. Just thought I'd throw that in there before people begin analyzing their "issues" with distance.  And also the correct nozzle for your machine.

Totally agree with Eric. Our shooter tip from Guy gave us the capabilities to shoot this hotel at four stories.

I use 0040 and 0030 and can hit 3 stories easy with a 4 gpm machine on calm day.
Guy's and James V's shooters also. The 0040 puts me at 40 psi , while the 0030 is
71 psi with a 4 gpm machine. definitely soft washing tips. I carry all of them at all
times, but find jrod with the two above mentioned 0 degrees handle 99% of issues.

I use Shooters all the time with my Fat Boy and 5850. With my 60 psi Fat boy the James #3 worked fine. With the 100 psi its cycling more so I'm going to try a 4, But they work well for me

We have two of Guy's shooter tips and still like the brass 30 & 40. No need to experiment with more since these are working well.

Thanks Art. By #3 and #4 you mean .30 and .40?
