I remember when this 12volt info was discussed back in the old days. We still use a delavan 5850 with no issues reaching 30 to 35 feet on most roofs. One key thing that is not mentioned and this applies to all 12 volt systems is keep 90 and 45 degree elbows to a minimum. I think it was Ed Thompson or Mike Derose who had mentioned it. With 12 volts always prime them while on the ground. If you lose prime on a tall large roof come down and re-prime.

I noticed the article recommends to use an accumulator...LOL. I just started a thread this week on whether or not to use an accumulator. Some say yes some say no.

As to the accumulator... they make money selling them and so few understand how to adjust the pressure switch or just change orifice size. Like you Dave, they had you convinced you need one.
