TY Bret I figured T with a pump to send the water.......How do you like the booster would you return to a 12V

The 12V is only used now for small single story homes and to transfer to the tote for down streaming which is seldom done any longer.

I also have been interested in the booster pump for various reasons but like I mentioned an a different thread, lots of people have all kinds of problems with them but some people never do.

Coming from the refinery we did not use that many of the 3-way valves, probably 95% to 99% were "T" 's with valves on each side so you closed one valve and opened the other valve but when you have live flow from the units, you always opened up one before closing the other so you don't block the flow from the unit......ever......it could be devastating in large refineries but with a system like this I am sure it would work great.

I have seen many people have problems with the 3-way ball valves but they are made from fiberglass reinforced poly, bleach eats up fiberglass so that is one reason I don't like the 3-way ball valves, if it was a different material then maybe but for my preference, and like what Brett mentioned, I would rather have a "T" with a valve on each side to open and close and probably use pvc as it seems to hold up to the bleach good.

Has anyone tried out the remote control that Jeff posted for his downstreaming system? It is 12 volt but I am thinking it might be able to work somehow, just not sure how and it has a range of about 500'.

Does anyone know how to make Jeff's remote work with the booster pump?

Thank you.

The same company has 110 remotes. Mike started using this remote. We have one on each truck and the only time there is a problem is when a building is in the way. I'm thinking about adding an external antenna.

The only ball valves I uses are PVC and the three ways are PVC that come from US Plastics.

Hey Chris,..the remotes I use are AC and DC,..and they will go as far as you will ever need,..You don't have that much hose to lose range,.....and they will go through any obstacle.

Regarding antennas,..they are tuned to frequency,.I remember using the older remote I used and it just had a simple wire,..worked very well,..and cheap. But it wa a definite length,..like 8.5" or something,..and the same goes for RC cars,..receivers are tuned to a certain frequency,..and the frequency can be adjusted by wire length.

*I only mention this because I seen someone say they wanted to get more range so they attached their wire to the trailer,..that didn't help,..and likely caused interference more than anything

Jeff, I did not know that about the antenna and connecting it to the trailer, I have heard many people say that over the years but it makes sense about the wire being a certain length for a certain frequency.

I have a couple of your remotes on order, should be here within a week so I can rig them up and try them out, should make a big difference in time spent walking back and forth on the job to turn the soap on and off.

I also ordered the solenoid and a motor operated ball valve to try out also.

Thank you for all your experimenting and sharing with everyone.

Where would you be with all this stuff on FB Chris? This is why we really like this place! We are always willing to help and especially when someone like you takes the time to look through what we have here. Jeff is the resident genius and seems to always be in R & D!

I have met a number of the guys here and hope to meet most if not all bt the end of 2019 if we could ever make a NSWA meeting come together. Getting some off of Long Island is tough... there is so much more in the world to see... like all of us! biggrin

That is true, lots of great information in the forums and it stays there forever unless it crashes badly and cannot be recovered.

I was a moderator on a couple of forums in the past, then politics of the Borg happened and I got removed, had not been on the forum in years but they did not like that I stood up for what is right and the owner removed me. It is a shame because there is a lot of great information there on the forums.

Life always goes on and usually gets much better.

I am liking it here a lot, thanks guys!
