How much life are you guys getting out of those check valves? One of the ones I had last season had a missing spring. (The ones art uses with the flapper wouldn't have that problem).

On year 3 with the 3/4" gray check valve. I buy my GF valves on Ebay for 30 bucks. I just can't see spending $130 on a valve because it has a dial on it.

Anyone order one of these from Frank? Doesn't seem to be a bad deal at all

Erik, I ordered one from him a few months ago when he started selling them. Looks like it should work well. You could probably build one for about $150, but I figured I'd buy it put together and then it is easy enough to buy the replacement parts when needed. Haven't used it yet with a foot of snow outside.

 Steve

That's going to work good and if you have any issues it will be eade you see it and fix it.

That's what I hope, at least until I can afford to get that shiny skid unit you have.

We have the same check valves. We did have one small problem when a small piece of trash got in the spring.

The valve has more than a dial. The metering valve is a lot different than a ball and guessing on a setting. If I was the one setting the valves, I might go with ball valves but the few extra bucks keeps employees at the same place for every type of job. The way it's set up it can easily be rinsed and kept clean.

This is my stance as well, at the least you need it on the SH valve. I personally like them all to match though. haha

Batch mixing is going away and in time more companies will be making metering valves. I would be S/Hed if non of the vendors aren't trying to make there own right now
