Chimney Rust preferred Chem

Read a lot post about the rust removal and wanted to know which chemical you find works the best. I see it all around here with the long streak of rust coming from the chimney. What do you guys prefer best to use  F9, Oxalic Acid, One Restore or anything else you may be using

I like F9 on most surfaces. First you have to hit the rust with some pressure to brake the tension. Then a few coats of F9. Keep it wet!

I like oxalic because I can mix it as needed. Just keep some on the truck. I've been meaning to try some F9

I carry one of them small hand held pump up sprayers from HD. They hold about a 1/2 gallon. I like it because its less waste.

I like f9 out of convenience and the fact that it works great, but will use oxalic on big areas.

I've had good success with F9 never tried oxalic acid before. Just remember that you lighten rust stains sometimes you can't remove them 100% make sure you let the customer know

Always set the customers expected results low. I always tell the customer that i might not be able to get rid of the rust stain.

If it’s dripping onto the roof you just cleaned be sure to rinse the bleach off first.

We are on Team F9, love all of Craigs chemicals, I have used oxalic acid on white vinyl fence and siding, but still hit the trouble spots with F9 BARC

Tayib, Art is so right about that being a serious mistake to mix F9 & Bleach...

Those fumes can kill you! I had a ground tech grab a bucket on the truck that had a little bit of bleach residue in it. He added F9 and made it about 20 feet from the truck with the bucket and dropped to his knees in the yard. I went over and he was sick.

We had no idea what happened until we realized the bucket he grabbed had that little bit of SH in it.

The fumes were wicked and a really odd smell. I am glad both of us are fine, but it was scary to see how quickly those fumes affected Tony...

Steve, that is very scary how quickly that affected your tech! Warning is noted on being careful with this one. I will be sure to mark this product and designate equipment that use it with! Thanks
