This ½” stainless steel motorized ball valve is affordable enough for the home hobbyist, while durable enough for titans of industry. The valve body and stem are made of SS304 steel, which is lead free and safe for drinking water. It actuates using 9V to 24V of DC power, and will fully open or fully close in 6-8 seconds. Once in position, it automatically stops using energy. This is important as it will never overheat.This is a key difference between motorized ball valves and solenoid valves. Most solenoid valves are constantly energized, while these electrical ball valves are not, making them a safer and more eco-friendly option.
The attention to detail in this valve extends beyond the metal. The casing is rated as IP65. This ingress protection rating is used to define how well the casing does at sealing. For U.S. Solid motorized ball valves, they have the highest IP rating possible against solids (6), representing a seal that protects against all solids, even dust. For water, the rating (5) represents seal protection against water spray from all directions. This means the casing and body are all built to last.
Motorized ball valves have a variety of interesting and convenient uses. Many choose to use them in home water systems. They are also a great tool for use in home automation projects. Home brewery systems typically need several of these valves, and the SS304 is great for fermented liquids. Lastly, all of the U.S. Solid motorized ball valves work well with Arduino automation systems.

I have had the idea of a remote controlled,.. motorized high pressure ball valve for a couple years now.....Never tried to make one. The idea is being able to rinse a full volume when DS'ing...and not having to walk back to the trailer,..which I rarely did,...I run 10 GPM and just rinsed through the injector..If I was close enough I would turn the valve and the difference in rinse speed was huge.....Started researching again and seen that these have been available for a while now,..Ha, Ha,..(I'm not keeping up) Seen them on YouTube.....I bought the Smart Bypass model....Was only $385.00 compared to $595.00 from others...No warranty but the build is the same minus the hose and fittings,..which I don't use anyhow....Mine is bypassed to the reel from the unloader,..and I can tinker pretty good so no big deal with no warranty........It is a HUGE benefit in speed,...rinsing at a full 10 GPM and around 600 PSI is very fast....Other benefits in versatility as well....

It uses the same remotes I use for my 2 GPM force fed DS unit...So now I have two remotes dangling off my side....

There is a code you can use for $30 off "ROB" without the quotation marks

  Jeff you don't have problems with dirty water coming out the weep holes with all that water?

Hey Art,...fortunately,.not very often....I know exactly what you mean though,...I think it's more due to the particular house than the amount of volume of water being used to rinse...But I hear what you're saying,.. and only happens a few times a season.... Happened even when I used 4 GPM years ago....When it happens,..Simply misting those dissipates the dirty water staining while it's still wet.....If dry,..I usually just go around with a brush using diluted acid (Aluminum brightener) and brush them away...Oxalic works also,..but it's not already liquid like the aluminum brightener......

Running alot of volume also allows you to stand back further for rinsing,..this hitting the siding at a better angle than spraying up...If I explained that properly,.Ha, Ha,...

 I'm an old school sider and I notice the drips mainly with Certaiteed siding. Something about the square edge and the weep hole cause it. Most other brand siding don't do it
