I have known the manager at Auto Zone since he was a new counter boy for about 10 years. He has been talking to me about cleaning the sidewalks and concrete in the lot. I went in the other day to by wiper blades and he had me sign up as an approved contractor. It can only be done at the store so take your FED ID and bank routing and account numbers (for direct deposit). It doesn't take long to do but the bad part is after you submit the information you  get an email saying you have been validated with the IRS and go back to the store to finish the process.

His maintenance supervisor for the region told him they are having a hard time finding people to do all kinds of work. Surprise!

Also, you can save money if you set up a commercial account at Auto Zone.

Thanks Brett,..good to know!!

On a side note: Seems the boards are DEAD,..I guess facebook groups are the in thing these days. Not really for me though,...I have actually been looking at the boards from years ago,.....RCIA and The Grime Scene are somewhat interesting. Very much a throwback to see how the work was done with 1.8 GPM Shurflo's,...I remember those days,..Shurflos,..roller pumps, 3/8" hose,..etc, etc,... I will say this,..money was saved by the use of the smaller pumps,..because it only took about half the material as it does now to do any given roof. Trade-off for speed I guess.

Facebook groups have made a mess of things and those who have created the group seldom post. Of course, there are exceptions. I seldom post to any FB group because no matter what is posted, there is some smart ass newbie or an expert waiting to pounce and set you straight. Then there are the self imposed experts who love themselves so much they have a hard drive just for storing their expert videos.

Many have said forums are a thing of the past but what we get here is way better than what 5 soft wash/pressure washing FB groups have. They are all shut down so nothing posted is of any benefit when those guys try to show off their work. At least here, we get some pretty good SEO benefits as well as no FB drama. I an content with small and quiet!

Thanks for the heads up Brett. I agree with you guys on the Facebook groups, too much drama and all of the gurus. I do learn a few things from there, but there is a lot of junk to sift through. I'm happy to be a part of the NSWA. Things should be picking up around here soon. I'm done for the season and winterized my stuff last week. Time to start planning for next season.
