That is interesting, down here only about 1/3 of houses have rain gutters on them.
In the past when I asked why no rain gutters most people said they get tired of cleaning them out, don't want to mess with them, tired of hiring people to clean them, etc....
I would like to say in a nice way it is just maintenance, like your car needs washing, new tires sometimes, new brakes sometimes but for some reason here, people really don't want to mess with them and on new houses, same thing, only about 1/3 of new houses have rain gutters on them.
Many years ago there were like 15 rain gutter companies, about 5 or so years ago I was looking out of curiosity and less than 5 left.
Seems like the seamless gutters is the popular type, I think that is where the gutter material is flat sheet metal on a roll and it is formed as it comes off of the roll then they go and hang it? I have never seen it installed but at the box stores they sell it in sections with all the hardware you need.
I have never seen them install the gutter components but sometimes my customers need gutters replaced, new sections as they are corroding through, they are sagging badly from not being cleaned in many years and other issues but I don't know any of these companies to give them referrals. I think I should call them and look at their reviews and ask their customers about them so I can refer them if they are good companies, maybe they will refer me for washing, cleaning or let me know of dirty houses.
