Does the public get to see it to promote your business? Yes, the public can see anything here that isn't locked down.
Does the google spiders crawl it to help your website SEO? Most definitely. Take a look at some other promotional posts and do the same thing. Also, add more to your signature with some links.
Thanks Brett. I will think of more things to put there.
I have a few youtube videos that one of them has over 460,000 views but not really trying to promote truck washing anymore so I don't know if it would be worth it to have a link to it here or not.

We are in a very rural area and you never know what key words the potential customer will use in a search. I've had customers find us through Roof Cleaning County Name, Roof Cleaning Township Name, Roof Cleaning Town Name, Etc.. This holds true for power and pressure washing too. It is in my best interest to cover them all and it works for us.
To answer your question about twenty to thirty customers a year find us through our(NSWA) promo posts. 2018 was 23 to be exact.
I remember Ed Thompson saying years ago keep throwing stuff against the wall and see what sticks. We use anything and everything that is at our disposal to promote our services on the web. I've never used EDDM, Door Hangers, Large Road Signage, or anything like that.
Now regarding commercial work that started off through connections I have made on my own. We have done gas stations, supermarkets, hospitals, firehouses, summer camps, resorts, etc.
We do very well up here in the woods. Two trucks(one is just a complete back up truck) and our hot water trailer.
Serving the Pocono and Lehigh Valley(Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, Pike and Wayne Counties), PA community as well as both Warren and Sussex Counties of New Jersey
How many of your customers have said they found your promotional post here in this group when you ask how they heard about you?
Thank you.
I wish I could say what Hank said. Last year we asked 98% where they heard about us 90% would say Google or on line. I don't know what the on line is. We don't press it since the first call involves so many questions. I agree, throw it out there. One thing is for sure, the more you give Google, the better!
As to commercial, I went after apartments and that is not easy. I joined a local group, went to business after hours and could not break through the clicks. I did some small table top type home shows. Once they remembered seeing me a few times they would talk to me. Some of the other commercial stuff came from the website and word of mouth. Ray gives a great presentation on commercial work and PM's.
I tried the local BNI but they already had a pressure washing company in there from years ago and said they can only have 1 in there.
My website ranks good, on the first page of google for over 12 years now, usually near the top which is good, but need to do things once in a while to help keep it there.
I do like that hand drawn video idea, but for house washing, has anyone out there done one of those? If so, did you get good responses or any feedback from them?

I would like to have a filthy house and do a time lapse. The problem is... just getting pictures is hard enough. Asking for videos is a daunting task. Then... they didn't think they needed to be still!
