For those who live in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina. Sheetz has a fleet card, Business Edge. Discounts and bunch of good features. One that I like is the card is assigned to the truck and the employees get their own pin to use it. No more receipts and everythi...

I usually don't even think about getting things up and running untill the beginning of March or the middle of March. Last year I don't clean my 1st roof until the beginning of April because of late season snow storms. I hope I don't jinx my season by getting ready early. Like I said earlier I don't have any...

A simple post, "About $400 for a years worth of golf course scorecard advertising. Money is tight, business is minimal, would you do it?" How many people can say no? How many actually know it really doesn't work? Sixty-five without counting the sub remarks. Everyone thinks they have to put in their tw...

Sorry I haven’t been here in a while I’ve been super busy.

Last summer I got my first commercial job cleaning out and repairing gutters at a retirement facility. I subbed out a guy to repair the gutters about 50ft worth. It was my first time operating a boom and the same for the gutter guy (he does residential). After about an hour I was getting pretty good at...

I know i have used Sprinkler pinch claps in the past and sometimes they fit and sometimes they didn't. Fastenal has these (Ear) clamps that fit on different size hoses. I personally don't like to use hose clamps on the supply side of any system. I don't mind hose claps on the delivery side of a system

I just wanted to say hi everyone and to thank you for this great forum. I have been a member for almost a year and as you can see I haven't posted much. This last season was my first full season and I have learned a lot from this forum and ones like this. I have been reading as much as I can to learn as much as...

Just received my new 1/2 versa magic diaphragm pump. My 1st impression is it is double the size of my all flo. Now I'm concerned with the size of my compressor. I just figured there wasn't much difference in size from 3/8 all flo to a 1/2 versa magic. I will be calling them in the morning to find out the requ...

I have decided to try out the home show booth avenue. I have never been interested in doing home show venue but I have been to home shows and have never seen another company that offers any exterior cleaning. We're scheduled to do 3 home shows starting in the beginning of March . Im not putting any expecta...

Hey Guys, Just joined! I own and operate Nittany Lawns in Boalsburg PA. I have been doing small pressure washing jobs as well and started doing more cleanings with my small pressure washer. I ended up purchasing a Gen II skid from the Power Wash Store and have been figuring it out on a trial and error me...

I just wanted to give a big thanks to Eric & Lisa, I let them know what I was looking for and they hooked me up. Nice 8 GPM 3500 PSI. Came with all the accessories and a battery! It's sitting in my living room because it's way to heavy to get to the basement. Need a warm stretch here so i can get ready..........

I am looking for a bare/empty skid for a 6' bed....anyone have a source? I'm gonna be moving my air equipment from trailer to truck bed.... Thanks!

A new remote for down streaming with a waterproof sealed remote switch and the 1/2" solenoid valves. I installed to the exterior for ease of maintenance of both the valve and switch. I didn't want a bigger box so this should work. The booster got an isolator and a pressure switch. Due to the weather I am n...

This is not a "cleaning" subject but I'm sure everyone has heard this is a really bad flu season. I received an email with some information that could be helpful. The number one thing I learned is the flu does real well in cold and dry environments. Humidifiers may help fight the flu Saline Nasal SprayDr...

Today's project was the mounting of fuel and diesel tanks on my hot water trailer. My old tanks were metal and had rusty interior walls and we were changing out filters often. They were a smaller capacity design as well. I ordered from Eric and Lisa of Power Wash Store of Central Pennsylvania two 11 gal...

It was great to finally meet Brian Jackson and his son Zach! If you missed this event you really should try to get to the next one....the energy was through the roof!

Today was my third road trip of the off season. This trip was to see my good friend and supporter Mike Derose of Diamond Roof Cleaning. We met this morning at his beautiful and roomy shop in southern New Jersey. Mike and I, like many others here, go back to the old RCIA days. We talked for 5 1/2 hours about bo...

It was a little chilly but The Roof Wizard was able to clean this tennis court, for a large apartment complex, without issue. We softwashed the entire court and rinsed with a booster pump. The temps were in the lower 30's so we had work quick, so the solution didn't freeze. As you can see from the photos, h...

I have heard chatter over the past year about drones and the FAA so I thought I would go to the website and see what they say. The rules are here.
