Best marketing. What works for you.

We recently generated a Brochure and did a letter box drop in our local area. Whilst we didn't drop a lot of money into the program it was still enough to warrant some return.

 

The bottom line is I have got nothing from the brochure drop.

 

What do you find is your best advertising method. What gets best "Bang for the Buck"?

 

Are you all in WEB or do you rely on Word of mouth. Do you employ a marketing company or advertise on the local radio or TV. What did you try that didn't work in the beginning that works now?

I agree with Doug. The website is crucial.

Keep throwing things against the wall and see what sticks.

We still meet with every customer while we do the quotes. I even do a google search of them so I have a better insight to their likes, dislikes and what drives them. This helps to break the ice during the sales pitch(for want of a better term).

Web works pretty well for us, in the busy season we get 8-10 inquiries per week from it.
I know this sounds weird, but we still kill it with our yellow pages ads.
Always do pretty well with door hangers when I go that route, especially when used in conjunction with advertisement in that neighborhood's newsletter.
However, most of our business is generated by good old fashioned door knocking & cold calling with commercial property & facility managers.

 Well Ray... being the average age in FL is on the older side... they still go to the phone book instead of ! Just a guess...

I am a big fan of cold calling. No one can sell you with passion like you can.

Obviously we have a web presence but the cost of 1st page appearance seems to get higher and higher.

I like the idea of the door hanger. ive not seen it used here. might give it a run.
