No Jeff, don't have use of one yet but it looks cool. Winter project along with fixing my 3 pressure washers all that have taken a beating this year! $700 pump needed for one so I'm gonna try rebuild myself.

That guy is like 5 minutes from Art. He could hoard them for us! I was being sarcastic.

Well then hoard them for yourself, 10 months a full working season!

Yea,..I did that a while back. I currently have (8) of them on hand,..and I'm sure I'll be purchasing more over the Winter months. I thought about making a few of these units and selling them at a fair price,.but I don't know.

*The ones that went bad were just barely,.AND I MEAN barely pulling soap when shut off,..but I just change them and don't try to get every second out of one. A couple times I know it must have been debris at the plunger,..because a good thorough rinse out and the issue was solved. I haven't had one sticking or or a coil go bad yet with this solenoid. These units make such a difference to anyone who DS's.

Yea,.I have just the regular plastic type strainer on the end of my pickup tube now,..But you're right,.. those paint strainer ones may be worth a try.

*You know something I do when using black tape, and if the application allows it,...I will use a zip tie to keep the black tape end from coming un-stuck and hanging loose. Also with black tape,..I never tear it,..I always cut it with a razor knife,..and then let it relax back,..then stick it down,..then zip tie it,Ha,Ha,...Maybe I overthink sometimes.

Hi Anita and Joe. I am new here, so perhaps I didn't understand where you are going to use the ball valve to bypass? On my simple soft wash rig, I use a L type 3 way ball valve I purchased from JN Equipment, part number ( AGBV8216230 ball valve 3 way). I am assuming that you are using a low pressure ( under 100 psi ?) system, so the valve will be on the suction side of the pump (up streaming). I use mine to switch from SH batch tank to a rinse tank.   This particular valve does have motor or solenoid capability, but perhaps pricey.   I have several of those small 12 volt valves left over from another project.  Nice conversation...
