Power Washing and Roof Cleaning Forum

Slate roofs throughout the country are designed to last upwards of 50+years. This homeowner contacted us after hearing from several roof replacement contractors that the roof would have to be replaced with either new slate or asphalt shingles. After meeting with the homeowner and supplying him w...

we are taking advantage of the New Year's holiday and the reduced vehicle and foot traffic to clean " Bills bookstore " which is a Tallahassee landmark! Located directly across from the main gates of Florida State University, this can be a very difficult area to wash due to lots of students...

Here are some pics from our first ever WFP job. We also removed the rust stains from the windows. Big thanks to Steve Blyth at Jracenstein for his advice on removing the stains.

Had a restaurant suddenly lock their doors and leave the area 6-7 months ago. New lessor is putting in a new venue, using existing equipment, and had us come and clean. Old restaurant simply dumped their perishable food and left....so this kitchen had been sitting for six months. Took a crew of four o...

Can't believe this year is over all ready. It feels like it was just spring. We had a decent year with a nice push at the end. December has been a really good month so far and people are still calling for service. We have 1 roof on Friday and 2 gutter cleanings. Looks like this might be the last of the work as ne...

Pressure washing is generally the best way to clean a concrete driveway or walkway but for longer lasting results you should consider a "Soft Wash" after the pressure washing has been completed. Here in Southern Louisiana our driveways can turn black very quickly and the process of soft...

Merry Christmas from Liberty SoftWash.

I just bought some Banjo Quick Connects . Are they alway kinda lose. They seem like they won't seal.

I know not all here are completely wet behind the ears when it comes to some of the more difficult window cleaning tasks. Quite a few "how to" videos show the demonstrator oversimplifying the process or encouraging time-wasting measures. It's not always a matter of simply wetting the gl...

When we first started cleaning roofs, we often thought about what could be done to make accessing a roof safer. Wouldn't it make sense to have a D ring permanently installed on roofs? Not just for roof cleaning but for roof repairs, chimney work, gutter work, etc. It would be so easy to install somet...

We often receive calls asking about cleaning the clay tile caps on the tops and side of roofing here in the greater Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. Serving the greater Baton Rouge area, Ascension Parish and even into LaPlace, Louisiana, Cajun Soft Wash can certainly get rid of those ugly black streaks o...

Hello again from down here. I recently made enquiries about cleaning Tensile Canvas Awnings of which I received some sage advise. We had the opportunity to put those suggestions to good use and I thought I would share our findings with you all. The job consisted of cleaning both the top and underside...

I switched from a 5/8" to 1/2" ID braided hose this year. I seem to have lost a small amount of distance and I'm pretty sure it's the inside diameter of the hose but I also added 25 addition feet. I used to run with 200' now I have 225. (no couplers in between). Anyone who uses 1/2" ID hose, I w...

Blew a spark plug out on one of the work trucks today. 2002 f250 5.4. From my research apparently forwards are notorious for doing this, it's got 240,000 miles on it. The cylinder in question is one of the rear ones right up next to the firewall and very tough to access. Has anyone gone through this in th...

I took a screen shot of one of my most active FB campaigns. As you see I received over 12,000 clicks, shelling out over $3K for the year. I think I got maybe 1 or 2 jobs from it, that I know of. I am here to say, for me, it wasn't worth it.

I don't use Angie's list, I think they're a bunch of extortionist Jack-wagons. However just had something happened to me today and wanted to bring it to the forums attention. I received a certified letter in the mail that was a cease and assist order from a new company called "extreme cleaning&q...
