Power Washing and Roof Cleaning Forum

I might have shared this in the past but it's worth sharing again. I dont know what I would do without these specific ladder stabilizers. By far one of the most important pieces of equipment on the truck. The stability and safety provided by these is amazing. Transfering from ladder to roof is much...

I have never cleaned a slate roof. They have began becoming more popular the last few years. I was asked to quote one today. Are they harder to clean vs asphalt.? Should I charge more than Asphalt?. I searche'd it but didn't get these answers

Who here has a 1-800 phone number? Can you shed some light on how you go about getting one? I'm looking for one thats forms a word or phrase. I googled it but there was a lot of ads and rather get some info from here first.

I have a customer that used Raid to spray some hornet nests and it has stained the shingles dark, and he says its very sticky (could be the honey from the comb) Anyone run into this, and what did you use to get it off. Being sticky, I don't think a regular roof mix is going to touch it.

I've been using the app "windy" lately. I started using it for surf forecasts and lots of serious fisherman are using it too. Now I'm using it to help with deciding to schedule jobs this time of year when weather is borderline. You can see weather forecast changes per hour for wind rain temp and basical...

It is incredible how filthy a brick barbeque can get. By having the right people come out and clean it properly, an old and/or well used barbeque can look attractive again. Dirty barbeques just aren't inviting. Check out the difference it makes.

Lets start a list of Soaps, Surfactants and Chemicals you like and use.

I am on a war path (well sort of) with Yelp since they will not post 11 great reviews. I'll bet if I paid for advertising they would somehow get unlocked! I found a group on FB... Yelp Sucks. The stories are crazy! Worth joining and added bonus to STAY CLEAR of Yelp! I have removed Yelp from thank you emails a...

Wondering if anybody has any feedback on the low pressure high volume Udor System from PWS. Looking to build out a new truck. Currently running 12v systems on our rigs.

Looking your ideas for the most you all consider your "Critical Backup" list. What do you always have extra with you on the job or in your rig? I am putting together some of my own but wanted input from the group. Thanks!

Video I shot this weekend for Copper Stain Removal at the Caldwell Building using OneRestore. The call it a construction detergent, and its basically a buffered, soapy, Hydrochloric acid. Works great on metal type stains.

This is a poll to gauge the number of contractors who rinse or do not rinse after Soft Washing.

In looking for a used truck for my new business, I ran across this one for a good price. Seems the nice thing would be accessibility, but you lose a lot of billboard space not having a truck bed.

Ran across these 1/2" fittings where the guy had them special made so that the barb opening is a good bit less restricted than most barbs. Not sure if it's something people are interested in, but if you want max flow I thought it was a good deal. He has pictures if you scroll down, where you can see the dif...

For those of you who accept credit cards, do you charge a convenience fee? Maybe a cash/check discount instead? How are you handling this? We have been using Square to accept credit cards and up until recently, we haven't had to use the service very often. Lately though, it seems almost every customer...

I don't think there is a post on this yet.. But it would be nice to have a dedicated thread to see everyone's rigs from this forum. I know i'm slow in the winter and like to dream about what others have! I'm in the process of re-doing a trailer now, but I will post when I get it finished! Lets see what you have

Some people stay within a few miles of their home/office. Being rural, I have to go an hour at times do do an estimate due to no street view and bad satellite pictures. The more rural, they have a hard time finding someone close by to do the job properly. The trip to MD is to see my son, not for work. Also, we ha...
