I went to do a bid today to clean a Cedar Roof. You won't believe what I saw above the front door. Yes that is birds that have been dead for god knows how long.

So i'm working on a church and I got stuck about 30 feet in the air today. Luckily I had just moved because I was fully extended at 80 feet and the wind was killer! Anyhow, I started to swing the basket of my lift and bang, a hydraulic hose erupts and starts spewing all over the roof. I shut it down and had my gro...

Thought I'd share a project I've been working on, As you all know,..especially the guys who do other things than roofs,..there is always a need for a small spot sprayer. A pump sprayer works very well to fill that void. Last season I put together a 12V hand truck rig as a gap filler for jobs that aren't b...

For those interested in attending a NSWA round table in Lancaster, PA please let me know. I'm suggesting Saturday, 1/14/17. Of course this would be a weather permitting event. All feedback is welcome(I think). Nothing written in stone yet. Hank

Professionals in the restaurant industry, recognize that hood cleaning is an important part of any commercial kitchen. Keeping your hood and entire kitchen exhaust system clean is an important step in maintaining a clean cooking area. A kitchen exhaust system consists of a fan that is connec...

Thanks for letting me a bit early gentlemen. I learned from a local pressure washer that I befriended that aluminum brightener from our local supply house works better than their rust remover. I have used it so far on concrete, vinyl siding, & painted wood. Remember, it's an acid, so keep it a...

Hi. I'm Bryan and am preparing to begin a business in early 2016 (one truck...working alone mostly with maybe a helper). Interested in learning more about equipment and common practices for residential washing. I know quite a bit about roof cleaning (I'm a former roofing contractor), which will...

We all have our go to people when we are buying equipment and supplies. I saw a FB post by Michael Kreisle selling a surface cleaner at a Christmas deal. Here's the link to his deal, add the wheels and the deal is $538.00. I thought I would see what Russ can do and as usual, his price for the same machine is muc...

One of my pet peeves! We are here to help and learn from each other. There is no question that this small group is the icing on the cake without BS. None of us have all the answers (well maybe one or two) and all of us have been at a place where we felt like there was just too much to learn and weren't sure about be...

A recurring catchphrase on this forum is the dilution is the solution. I am trying to understand the dilution path of SH in a typical downstreaming setup Obviously, hose length, spray tips and hydraulic head are factors that will affect the draw rate but for arguments sake here is a table that below re...

Over the Winter months I may be putting a few of the remote units together for anyone who may be interested. They will be put together just like I'd put them together for myself,..soldered connections, dielectric grease , remote with excellent range etc... They will use the same solenoids I use. Th...

Anyone using this for hood cleaning, or is it to problematic to mess with.

Most of this is copy and pasted from other posts. We use potassium monopersulfate never used CH for cold weather cleaning. I think it really works well. We have used it and it seems to help with roof cleanings. We thought we were going to need it yesterday, but we only have siding to wash all day, no roofs....

I picked up a gallon of DG in Charleston and got to use it on a house wash last week for the first time. I was impressed by the cling but what really blew me away was the ease and speed of the rinse. If you haven't tried it yet you owe it to yourself to give it a try. Thanks to Power Wash Store and Eric and Lisa for pu...

Christmas lighting . Is anybody hanging Christmas lights or leasing Christmas lights to customers? It's a service expansion were thinking about offering this year. I'm a little bit behind the eight ball and could use any help that is offered.

Working today...my helper rinses with the pressure hose while I wash with the 12 volt. He said the hose zapped him so I grabbed it too (here's your sign) but i didn't feel current. I went to the truck to check it out and tried to disconnect the injector (we had been downstreaming part of the house) and it p...
