I spent two days just outside of Washington at National Harbor at the PWRA & WCRA convention. Well put together both days. Some really good speakers that were there to teach. We got this lurker from English town NJ. He has been all over the forum into 130 threads. I'm going to watch and ban his ass out of here if he comes back today. Taking our info and running with it. We had one from CT doing the same thing that I banned last month. Lurkers, don't like them! If any of you guys see th...

This is the crazy people we deal with every day. This lady thinks we should clean her gutters again for free basically. Hi John, last August you cleaned my gutters & I also had my roof cleaned by your company, however, I felt at the time you missed the gutter on the porch under the awning but never got...

Here are some pics of a small graffiti removal job we did recently at the Pennington School, just outside of Princeton, NJ. Most calls we get for graffiti are on masonry surfaces, but this was a little different. This is a new construction building on the site and the areas tagged were some of the parape...

Do you wonder what those black streaks and stains on your roof are from? It’s not from age, tar, jet fuel, tree sap, acid rain or dirt. It’s caused by an algae called Gloeocapsa Magma. As the algae eats and multiplies, the colonies become more dense. The dense area of the algae colonies are evident by the...

I decided to take my crew to Myrtle Beach for the Power Wash Store convention. While there I had the pleasure to meet Ray though I missed his class due to it being the last one on Tuesday at 3:00. We had to get back for jobs scheduled on Wednesday and got home at 10:30 pm. I missed a wealth of information thoug...

Today the Roof Wizard softwashed and restored this cedar shake roof and house in Stone Harbor, NJ. The homeowner is putting the house up for sale in the Fall and wanted it to look it's best. We washed the roof, house, three Mahogany decks, the Travertine tile pool deck, paver driveway and the windows. W...

I know I have said many times that we should all work together and I have had many mixed emotions about this point. Well, there is a way we can really help each other BUT only help those that you want to help. No new website, no new forum.....just a massively powerful tool that can help each of us and is somet...

G'Day thrill seekers. How ya goin. I am planning to cross the ditch to attend the UAMCC National at Charleston and obviously trying to plan a few days either side of the event for travel. Best flights would have me in and out of Atlanta so was considering heading back to Atlanta for a few days before the lo...

Pat started a thread about foam shingle cleaning and rinsing and I'd like to comment on rinsing with normal Soft Wash applications. In the past, we have laid down a pretty heavy coat of Soft Wash mix when cleaning roofs without rinsing (with awesome results). The run off was somewhat heavy but we ir...

Today we did a house wash. When we went to rinse the door frame the paint came off the trim coil. I think the door was trimed primer side out. The rest of the house was fine. Its a good thing I had my brake in my box truck and it was a easy fix.

I know I know, the customer is always right. Sometimes I just gotta say what's on my mind.

"Our roofer replaced some of our shingles but now my roof doesn't match, do I need to replace my entire roof?" I've had this question more times than I can remember and the answer is almost always no. In most cases the only thing needed is a good cleaning by a professional roof and exterior cl...

the moronic lowball hack I've talked about before on this forum has stolen photos from my website and is using it on his website! It's the gray roof that features prominently on my website and on the tailgates of all of my company vehicles. It's not a job he's done, it's literally my exact photo stolen fr...

The Roof Wizard recently was hired to softwash this multi million dollar home, in Avalon NJ. The homeowner is putting the house up for sale in a few weeks and building another one across the street, about 100' closer to the bay. They had the roof pressure washed 18 months ago and were not happy with longe...
