Here is my rebuttal to the ad posted by Mr. Grimes. Claim: $399 for cleaning up to 1,000 square feet of roofHow many homes have more than 1,000 Sg feet? Pretty much all of them.Claim:Heavily neglected areas may need additional treatments which can incur additional charges " Why ? &q...
Howdy all! I haven't been able to post much lately, have been nutty busy. Hope everyone is doing well and having an awesome summer! If anyone needs me, best to email me at ray@spray-wash.com or call me direct vs. leaving messages here. Here's a few of the projects we've tackled in the last 30 days:
We got this lurker from English town NJ. He has been all over the forum into 130 threads. I'm going to watch and ban his ass out of here if he comes back today. Taking our info and running with it. We had one from CT doing the same thing that I banned last month. Lurkers, don't like them! If any of you guys see th...
This is the crazy people we deal with every day. This lady thinks we should clean her gutters again for free basically. Hi John, last August you cleaned my gutters & I also had my roof cleaned by your company, however, I felt at the time you missed the gutter on the porch under the awning but never got...
Lady calls for a house wash. So I tell here I would like to come over and see the house. She says are you certified, So I said yes. She says sorry I'm going to pass and hangs up. Go Figure
I decided to take my crew to Myrtle Beach for the Power Wash Store convention. While there I had the pleasure to meet Ray though I missed his class due to it being the last one on Tuesday at 3:00. We had to get back for jobs scheduled on Wednesday and got home at 10:30 pm. I missed a wealth of information thoug...
I know I have said many times that we should all work together and I have had many mixed emotions about this point. Well, there is a way we can really help each other BUT only help those that you want to help. No new website, no new forum.....just a massively powerful tool that can help each of us and is somet...
Today we did a house wash. When we went to rinse the door frame the paint came off the trim coil. I think the door was trimed primer side out. The rest of the house was fine. Its a good thing I had my brake in my box truck and it was a easy fix.
the moronic lowball hack I've talked about before on this forum has stolen photos from my website and is using it on his website! It's the gray roof that features prominently on my website and on the tailgates of all of my company vehicles. It's not a job he's done, it's literally my exact photo stolen fr...
I recently had a customer ask about roof coatings. Since I cannot find any information supporting the use (except for the manufacturer of the coating) I always show them the documents I attached to this post. I thought others might want this in their arsenal. GAF ARMA
My pump took a S hit on the job today. So I had to take my surfactant pump " SideWinder" out of the truck and rig it. I thought the cloths pin was a nice touch
waxman18324 wrote: Doug, Why are you rinsing roofs? Is it due to lack of gutters? Hank Hank, No gutters are a big issue here but so is the thickness of the algae.......There are times when we put two or three coats then rinse and reapply. You can keep applying but there is a point where it does no good at al...
I am usually willing to share anything I find that can help everyone here but this one is going to be a well guarded secret. After many years of searching, I have found the magic for red clay. I know there aren't too many who have to deal with this but those who do, let me know and I will send you the informatio...
www.nearmap.com This mapping system allows you to zoom in pretty close and the image is clearer. It can help me to see if the home has rain gutters or excessive landscaping before I go visit the home. They only allow you to view for a short time then want you to create an account....so I have just been visi...
On a small job for an old customer. I mean the house dates back to 1740 and owners are descendants of Sam Adams, but I digress. First there's a 4 man team cleaning gutters one day, we're painting and lite construction, now 2 guys called B!ue-sky blah blah blah shows up to clean the one side of the garage me...

This customer is having trouble accepting the fact she needs a new roof and not a roof cleaning. 45 minutes of my life wasted explaining the issue to her. Hank
Check out this ad in a local paper in Southern NJ. I think Matt of Roof Rescue just opened this new branch in NJ and realized that numbers are so low here, that he can't afford to use a skid with batteries and is just using a pump up sprayer!! $199.00 plus tax, for most jobs...... I am just glad Lou is charging...
another situation arose with the dipshodiot from the amphitheater project. I think it illustrates perfectly why A professional company should ask the proper questions when submitting bids. I got called to bid on 161 unit townhouse complex, scope of work includes exteriors, sidewalks, curbs, r...
I'm doing the build out this weekend to be ready for Monday's job. A standard PU truck just isn't enough for all we do and after seeing a few pictures of Eric's rig (Liberty Soft Wash) I had a few more ideas. I'll be mounting both hose reels on top of one of the side boxes and just have two tanks in the back. I w...
Put another 12 hrs in today. So decided to take the kids swimming and relax a little. We have been non stop since March 23 rd and the commercial work is flowing in. Life is good and hope everyone's season is going great.
We have never used our ww classic on asphalt but I was curious to find out if anyone has tried it. My driveway is stone so I dont have a test bed to give it a try. Hank
