How big of a deal are gutters to you guys when roof cleaning? Do you insist that they are fully cleaned/flushed before cleaning a roof? Do you inspect/inquire for each bid? If they have debris in them, but the downspouts drain, is that good enough for you if the customer doesn't want to do a full clean...

Even in late fall, we are able to get some roof cleaning done for the Stuarts Draft Retirement Community in Stuarts Draft, VA.

Not only was it covered in moss and Lichen on every section of roof (north, south facing etc) but the Algae build up was so bad it took about 5 applications with some pretty strong mix on the final 2....

Experiment time. After doing more research on Sodium Carbonate,..I think I may try to use this in a house wash. It is what Cascade main ingredient is. So it should cut bug crap and dirt,..and "should" leave the windows acceptable? Recommended mix it seems is around 2 tablespoons per gallon of water....
